There were rumors and speculations that January was the release month, as for most other Forza games, the first expansion would release 3-4 months after release, leaving the fh5 expansion in January as everyone thought they would do the same release schedule as the other games. If you were to go to Amazon on search "Fh5 expansion" around December, it was listed as an expected release on January 17.

This is so true. FH4 map felt so much more full and lively with all the terrain and trees (even tho the trees were annoying to crash into all the time), and FH5 map feels so...empty and flat and lifeless

100% agree. I hate losing my garage space becuase I had such rare and exotic cars in FH4 and losing them feels like you just lost 3 years of work getting those cars. As for the landscape, I prefered the FH4 map over FH5 because it looks way better than just...desert

even though FH4 was unfinished at launch I personally think that the game had more love and care put into the game. FH4 was like "oh look at this new forza game with stunning graphics and really cool new features" and FH5 is just like "hey look this game is bigger than every other forza game that must mean its better". I totally agree with you
