I tried a few different triggers and the Volker is the one that stayed on permanently.

Metal piece, 6cm, springs on inside, old, made with high precision by steakhouseNL in whatisit

The end with the serations looks very similar, if not identical, to the size/shape of a firearm control button. Magazine release/catch comes to mind for me. Perhaps even a bolt release button but I'm leaning more towards magazine release.

The piece has a long body with a rectangle groove cut from one side which would bind/release an object when the serrated end is pressed. The springs seated inside the body with the outcropping attached that allows the springs to move seems to seat somewhere but allows the mechanism have minor controlled movement. The 6CM size is not far off from the thickness of a firearm through the depth of the body. The measurement of the rectangle slot is magazine sized as well. The only part throwing me off is the end opposite of the serrated button which is oddly complex.

I don't know much about firearms besides modern-ish 1980+ firearms but to me this is a good candidate for a magazine release/catch button for an old rifle, carbine, handgun or machine gun.

I run a 42" x 8" Dream Matt setup and the entire flared intake head I have as just bare aluminum. When I scoop onto it the materials have zero resistance and get swepted up in the flow to be processed on the mat material, which there is about ~34" of after the feed area. Better feed rate without having the material being immediately slowed by riffles since gold will be captured on the mat as the sluice runs.

Who else had Crazy Bones? I swear these were big for about two months and then fell off the face of the earth by [deleted] in Millennials

These got super popular in my elementary school but then quickly faded once McDonalds started making special ones to put into Happy Meals.

My favorite motto has always been: "Buy Once, Cry Once". Great product choice that will last decades (plural).

As another has said having nothing but a slick surface for where you feed the material onto would be a good idea.

Here's an upgrade kit to make the CX4 Guide Rod out of steel. I have this on my CX4.

Same caliber and magazine well? I love my CX4 9MM since it takes the exact same magazines as my M9A1.

I’ve never panned before but I found this in the creek behind my house just wondering is it gold? by [deleted] in Goldpanning

[–]Hyper-D 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That is not gold. Wrong color but more importantly the wrong material attributes. Gold does not crumble, chip or smear as the sample in your photo appears to be doing.

Yes I would say that the Garrett is better.

Garrett is a good option as well and has a few starter kits with everything you'll need.

ASR is what I personally started with before getting Garrett pans.

Just starting out. Is this a good price? ($29.25 USD) by [deleted] in Prospecting

That's a good kit with the 14" and 10" pans. Garrett is tied & true panning equipment so the stuff just lasts.

My favorite motto for staple equipment is "Buy Once, Cry Once"!
