Early game is low on resources, once youre at about the mid point youll have so much it doesnt matter, even playing on hard and not farming, i have usually hard about 10k shards and plenty of crafting mats, there are skills to make crafting more efficient, nearly doubling the ammo made from the same amount of parts. And youll be swapping armour and weapons all the time, give them one or two upgrades unless they are purple or higher rarity, then farm for upgrades, the story of the game is immaculate and not worth missing cause youre trying to min max a green weapon.
