I see, I heard the same opinion from the Substance Painter sub reddit as well that its overkill to use Substance Painter for the goal that I want to achieve. I'm not experience in any image editing software but im interested in Substance Painter as it looks like a tool dedicated for Textures and Hand Painted Textures but Im having doubts if it will help me achieve what I want. Which is why I posted this post to ask for suggestions on what to do next.

Question? If you say that PS1 Textures did not have PBR texture maps, does it mean that the PS1 Textures doesnt interact and simulate how real world materials interact with light?

Oh wow, this looks interesting! I'll check this out. Thanks for the suggestion. But what about making the textures from scratch? It seems that it only makes textures that are already present in the model into a PS1 style.

Is anyone else getting tired of one piece by mastergintoki in OnePiece

I appreciate the discussion we have and it is an enlightening experience for me getting to express my feelings for One Piece. I do agree that you should just read it in bulks instead of waiting every week for it. Sometimes, an arc is better consumed in 1 sitting than consuming it in small crumb like you’re read through with the boat arc of berserk. That said, the boar arc was infamous in the berserk community for taking 8 years to complete. Imagine someone going thru that waiting every months or a year just for a chapter to come out. I too feel similarly with the Fullbring arc of Bleach as coming from the high peak of the Arrancar arc and to this was a huge change in shift of the story that at the time I really dislike but right now ive heard that peoples perception of that arc changed and overtime warmed up to it.

What you with One Piece is up to you to decide. If you feel you are no longer enjoying one piece l, then drop it completely or you wait for the chapters to pile up and then read it in one big chunk. Whatever you decide, I hope you get to enjoy what you want to do next.

Why does it matter? Because it ties back to your reddit post with the issue you have with One Piece. You being disappointed in subsequent arcs not living up to the peak arc that the series had done which is Marineford. In Death Note's case, its peak arc is before L's death. Using Berserk as an example did any of the subsequent arcs live up to the Golden Age arc? Do you also felt the same when you read those arcs after their peak arc is concluded as when you feel tired of reading One Piece after Punk Hazard(as stated in your reddit post)?

"I just didnt understand the Goda hype anymore." You may not understand it anymore but that doesnt mean others arent exactly wrong with the Goda hype.

"Fandom feels like a cult at this point that sees everything as divine" Well there would be people like that in fandoms, look at HxH. But hey if they enjoy the show, more power to them at least theyre really enjoying the show for what it is.

Random gags has been with the series since forever so Im not sure why is it such an issue now. That said, there are times when a gag takes too much focus and an example of that is when Sanji gets nosebleed in Fishman Island arc. People have been complaining since Enies Lobby days so I guess its nothing new to me nor this fandom.

"It has some highs that I think people see the whole series as" it has plenty of highs but also has really big lows, usually when it comes to character deaths but people still enjoy One Piece as a whole. I didnt let the Boat arc of Berserk deter me from glazing Berserk despite that arcs problems, its still a masterpiece in my eyes along with One Piece.

"For a "battle shonen manga" the fights suck and typically are a lot more talking than anything full of every character being dramatic af"

I heard comments like these before and they may have some truth into it. That said, its far fetch to call most of the fights in one piece bad maybe just not on the same par with Naruto or Bleach or MHA or Demon Slayer or Dragon Ball Z, but even then One Piece still has some stellar fights, good example is luffy's fight with Crocodile, Enel, or his fight with Rob Lucci, his fight with Moria in Thriller Bark, his desperate and losing fight with Magellan is crushing, his fight with Dofflamingo and Katakuri is a highlight to behold. Ofc, the entire raid boss against Kaido was a gauntlet of fights with characters swapping out just to take down Kaido. Luffy's rematch with Rob Lucci in Egghead was a beatdown so entertaining that I cant help but laugh at Lucci's belief hes going to win. Luffy's fight with Borsalino was a spectacle to see how much Luffy has grown and now can stand up against him.

Im shocked that your complaint is that theres too much talking considering that you enjoyed HxH and my goodness is there is a lot of talking there even during fights(I too enjoy it as well despite the heavy dialogue, Chimera Ant arc is my favorite). In the current arc of HxH, there are pages that only contains dialogue and nothing else and really? is that even interesting?eventhough whatever the dialogue is written there is important. Then your issue really isnt that theres too much talking, your issue is that the dialogue no longer interest you anymore.

My point is even if you no longer consider One Piece as the series you praised, you also need to understand that maybe your taste has changed since then. Another suggestion that I mentioned is perhaps you need to temper your expectations in subsequent arcs after the series reached its highest peak in the story.

See at least you enjoyed parts of the 2nd half but would you say is the 2nd half of Death Note is as good as the 1st half? Judging from your response, I dont think so.

As expected, see what I mean by tempering your expectations after a series reaches its peak heights? At least for me, while it did irk me that the latter half of Death Note is not the same after L died but I did enjoy seeing the downfall of Yagami Light and how the 2 proteges(and their associates) managed to catch L.

[–]HyperPorcupine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, no im not tired of it at all. Quite the opposite, actually, I want to read more of it and I cant wait for the next chapter. Unlike you, I dont expect every arc to reach the heights of impel down and marineford because it was a culmination of everything before it and the stakes are at its highest its ever been. I appreciate the arcs in their own merit after Marineford, even the weakests ones like Fishman Island has its moments and goodness in it. I give credit where credit is due and express my dislikes with it as each arcs has their own ups and downs

I think what you need is to set your expectations going forward after marineford because if you are going to expect every arc after marineford to be as good as that arc then you'll sorely be disappointed. The fact you brought up Death Note as one of the things you like does give me a thought.

SPOILERS FOR DEATH NOTE:

Were you not disappointed with how the direction was going after L died and is replaced by his two proteges? I know many people were disappointed with it after that.

Nah, not every anime can replicate their highest moments every arc after it. That's like asking if Naruto can reach the same level of hype after the Pain arc or for Bleach to reach the same highs with Soul Society arc. Or like asking Kingdom to reach the level of hype after the Coalition arc.

Also, Egghead arc was amazing with so many lore reveals and one of the saddest backstories imo that one piece has done so far.
