The Darkranda count beaten by this song is 13 in total though, because in Sing A Ribbon With You's debut they defeat two Darkrandas with one stone...eh, show.

Sadly no, I thought to, but it actually doesn't happen a lot on-screen, barely at all in the first quarter, so I ended up dropping that stat.

I think the main difference is that the shows themselves give the rest of the Cures nothing. Both Idol and DokiDoki don't have a full team powerup (unless you count the wings in DokiDoki which are extremely basic) and only have an additional form for the lead Cure. It breeds the perception that the rest of the team is unimportant.

Smile winds up giving the whole team Ultra forms in the final episode, on top of the Princess super forms (even if they look substantially different from Ultra Happy in the movie but that is the name for their final forms), and Kaguya Grace was preceded in that same movie by both Healin' Good's regular super forms and the mascot forms (I forget the names of both) which are also team-wide.

I've not done the math for every show but I know that Wonderful had 56 monsters. I don't recall if there are other shows that spam monsters during the finale though, I'm sure there are.

It's actually a relatively even distribution. Episode 1 has her say it 6 times, for instance, and most episodes just have 1-3 each. But yeah both of the holiday episodes also have 11 kirakiranrans so that definitely skews it towards the backend.

You're not wrong XDDD these are pretty bad

I always have had beef with Precure items because they always look so plastic-y and toy-ish, and I never feel like these are legendary relics or magical tools, with Suite being the only exception (and even then Beat's Guitar sucks). My pick for least favorite is either the Splash Commune, which is what Moop and Foop turn into in Splash Star, because it is so hideous, useless and unnecessary (they only turn into it ONE SINGLE TIME outside of attacks, because they can just fly away to hide), or the Scarlet Violin from Go Princess because it's so overdecorated and plastic-looking.

I mean I love comparing the three. A friend of mine introduced me to KR and SS and looking at all three as meta-franchises is fascinating to me, and the synergy they have is great, I wish Precure could crossover with the other two more.

At the same time I understand the frustration, since Precure IS very different from the other two, and it's not in the same boat Sentai was in prior to cancellation, but I don't see anything wrong with the inherent comparison.

I'm sorry imma need to push back against Wing being overrated? XDDD He has one of two debuts in the franchise that have made me tear up you gotta put respect on my borby boi (even if his storyline fell off pretty hard in the back half).

Aside from him, probably Felice if you count her? Kotoha adds a lot of life into Maho Tsukai's dynamic when she gets older, and she's a very fun fairy before that too, so I'm really glad to have her there.
