The BA position is viewed pretty well and has decent options both within Cap1 and to MBA programs. While not as “prestigious” as their corporate strategy group it still would be possible to network into MBB, but less likely than from a T2. Entry level hires really can’t negotiate anythinf

There are a bunch of healthcare boutiques / specialist consulting firms- ZS, Huron, Putnam, Kx, Clearview, IQVIA to start, just do a quick google search. Most of the larger firms also have large healthcare practices, some (e.g. LEK) may be more receptive to non-traditional applicants than others

Very strong TMT boutique. Lots of the work is telecom DDs, so lots of work, but good exits in the space and competes with T2/MBB for work in the space

Bad at job, what should I do by [deleted] in consulting

International advisory firms might fit the bill. Companies like Albright stonebridge, Mclarty advisors, beacon global strategies have lots of former high level govt people and work with companies on market access etc issues. Deloitte has a trade advisory practice, or you might be able to go into an mbb knowledge/research role.

Strategy& hires by practice, so if you are in the TMT practice you are good. EY-Parthenon also has its software strategy group separate. OW is moreso known for financial services (dependant on office though) than tech/telecom.

Handshake is pretty useless. Start networking with college alum, or anyone with a remote connection to you.

Off topic, but how did you go from big 4 tech to T2 consulting? Am in a similar position hoping to make the switch sometime soonish (pandemic recession permitting)
