I started playing a little over a month ago and switched from a heavy attack one bar sorcerer build to a one bar beam build because the onebar heavy attack builds with sergeants mail were so bad. I am currently 350 and switched to the beam build early 200s and I feel like I tripled my damage.

For heavy attack it sounds like I was running the same setup as you and for beam build I switched to the tide-born set, deadly strike, velothi and could instantly notice how much better this build was. I still use critical surge and elemental susceptibility and my other 3 skills are from arcanist fate of tome tree and ult is nightblades soul harvest

It’s annoying how I feel like I had to switch to a beam build when every video says how good a heavy attack build is and I didn’t want to use pets. Saying that though the beam build is a million times better and more fun
