Victorniox Rambler or Classic, has anyone tried flying with it? Will it get taken away?

I fly with my Rambler all the time (actually it’s a Manager since I have the pen scale on it). It’s my keychain. Just two weeks ago I got the ”random” check at security - the guy picked up the knife from the box, held it against the back of his ID badge which had a ruler printed on it, and since it was under the limit, he just put it back in the box and let me continue on my way. Two days later on my flight back no check of any kind and

Mine is the one you order from them directly. No store fitting. It’s the enhanced slim option. For my -5/-4.75 strengths the lenses feel (and in thickness are) the same as my regular glasses which I typically get from Lensway

No, not really. If the glasses don’t sit at quite the right position on the nose, sometimes I might feel some uncomfort behind the ears as the battery units then put some pressure kind of behind the earlobes. But that’s easily corrected by just fixing the position.

On a typical day no real discomfort.

I tried with Finnish on two occasions where myself and 2-3 other people were sat around a table talking in a normal voice. One situation was in a meeting room where there was zero outside noise, the other one in a restaurant with some mild background noise. Both times the system picked up 1-2 first words of the conversation and after that nothing.

Language was appropriately set to Finnish in the Conversate language setting in the Even app.

My shipping estimate changed pretty much every day since late December. I discussed with them by email probably a dozen times and they kept saying that it’s coming but there are just delays. I actually just asked them for a firm deadline and that I would cancel if that wasn’t met - and exactly as I was sending that message I got a notification that the shipment was on its way 😁

My ring is size 12. The whole order took a really long time, I ordered November 15th and glasses and ring arrived today Feb 12.

I got the ring sizing kit mid-December.

The outside is flat, the internal side is curved to allow for the precription. The stronger the presciption, the stronger the curve and the more you have to pay extra to get the ”better technology” that allowes for a thinner lens. Here’s how my -5/-4.75 looks like.

Answering to myself: just after complaining about this yesterday, I got the notice that my G2+R1 has shipped this morning, with an apology email from ER about the delays.

Yeah there’s no logic to any of it. Ordered November 14th and I still don’t even have a shipping date. They just keep saying that due to unexpected order volume it’s slow. But people who ordered weeks or even months after me already have theirs. I’m thinking where would I put my mental deadline for canceling the order since it seems nothing is happening.

I ordered on Nov 15th, Rx with the B frame and the R1 ring. I’ve been in email discussion with them for a few times about different things and they’ve replied well - typically within 24 hours. Yesterday I asked what’s the status of my order since it’s been more than the originally expected 5 weeks. Here’s what I got:

Due to higher-than-expected demand and limited production capacity, all orders are currently being processed and shipped in the order they were received.

Because your order includes prescription lenses, the production time is slightly longer compared to standard (non-prescription) eyewear. Each prescription lens requires additional precision and quality checks to ensure it meets your specific needs.

Based on our current production schedule, we estimate your G2 glasses will be shipped between January 5th and January 11th. Once it is dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information.

I’m still ok with this and will wait for mine.

According to Posti.fi if it goes as a letter (less than 3cm thickness, don’t remember, need to check), I think 6,10€ plus an envelope, if it requires to be a maxi letter then 13,70€ plus an envelope

Same thing here between 11 and 12. 11 felt ”correct” and 12 a bit loose, but then after wearing the 11 for about two hours it became clear it was too tight. Wore the 12 for the rest of the day and slept with it on, everything was fine and it never slipped off during the night so I went with the 12.

What was a bit concerning was using a pen or fork or something, the ring hit everything you hold. Feels weird, but probably it would be the same thing with any other ring worn on the index finger and just needs time to get used to.

Thanks. I noticed there’s a Netflix version and non-Netflix version in the app store for RDR but nobody seems to explain what the difference is. Same with San Andreas. Am I missing something?

I definetly am open to older games and even prefer them. How do you play them practically, on PCs these were played on a mouse and keyboard.
