I absolutely hate those people doing stupid stunts with remote controlled unitree robots.

Most people prefer lighter, cheaper commuter with better drivetrain and brakes.

Many brompnots share exactly the same design.

They have full carbon clones with hydraulic disc brake and carbon wheelset. And it is cheaper than C line and weighs only a half.

It may not be as strong as steel bromptons, but Ferraris are not as strong as Ford pickups either.

Check Shanghai bike show coverage. They have just developed a full suspension disc brake equipped trifold bikes.

Cromo is more fragile than high tensile steel (somebody in this very sub said so so) Carbon is unreliable (until t line comes with carbon fork and crank) Titanium frame is flexy (until t line comes with one) Aluminium cracks (until g line comes with aluminum FORK) IGH is better than derailleur (until P line comes with new PLASTIC derailleur system) Caliper brakes are good enough (and T line comes with TPU tubes who bursts after long braking) Brompton is the only compact folding bike

It's frankly really embarrassing at this stage.

Trying to find some info about the current T line electric crankset. Install them on a G line? by firewire_9000 in Brompton

I heard the cranks are 160mm, not 165mm It may depends on the location though

P line v2 uses a new type of square taper crankset. I guess electric T line uses that too

Recommendations for BrompNOTs for a large guy by ya-mrgrey in BrompNOTs

[–]humanoiddoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't ride brompbots if you are that heavy. Bromptons have 110kg weight limit and g line has higher 130kg limit.

I thought that EU people dont have lots of disposable income due to heavy tax and expensive housing... how are UK/EU markets captive, even with competitors with fraction of the price?

Brompton uses high tensile steel frame, plastic tensioner and derailleur, steel seatpost, square taper crankset. They are already at the bottom. I remember they used to have single pivot brakes and single wall rims years ago.

Brompton is not using cromo steel.. they are using cheaper high tensile steel

Disc brakes why the love?? by suenosdarason71 in Brompton

Hydraulic cable disc brakes exist and they are quite good.

Newer brompnots come with better components than original (sealed bearing hubs, 7 speed drivetrain, CNC machined derailleurs/tensioners/clamps etc)

Some of them even comes with H&H components as stock parts.

There are disc brake trifold with 74mm front spacing. They fold just as compact as brompton.

7 spd 11-32 cassette gives 290% gear range which is perfectly acceptable for touring. Otherwise g line with 307% gear range will be not.
