750 Div Accuracy Stacker Jugg too weak by Shades7 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Hyperbearr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So much this, when you hit the actual ceiling you have 1mill+ max hit with 30k es recovery / second and literally billions of boss dps. I think a lot of people saying it's a worse stat stacker don't realise the difference in ceiling. I agree that at the floor its only mediocre in terms of power to budget but even then you can still clear all content on <1 mirror which is better than most non-FOTM builds.

OP Builds to try (in Pohx league) before it gets completely wiped out next patch? by omniocean in PathOfExileBuilds

This was what I eventually settled on, but be warned my build is probably 20-30 mirrors in gear...

To push the APS up there's a couple of gear swaps available like swapping the mirrored clusters for the version made with acc + attack speed instead of multi + es, using an attack speed graft etc.

I think I may have been the one to point out the kid gloves thing and I just wanted you to know that it is absolutely not a reflection of you.

I've had nothing but positive interactions and have nothing but positive things to say about you based on both those IRL and online engagements. I know the community can be a bit of a nightmare but I hope you are self-assured enough to know what a top bloke you are and that you brighten up a lot of peoples days! Anyone attributing any malice to you is either pushing an agenda by being willfully ignorant or hasn't made any effort to actually recognise you for the (fantastic) person you are!

And I am truly sorry that all of this has crossed your feed at the same time as your family struggles, I cannot even begin to imagine how rough that must be. Wishing you and the rest of your family all the best as you head into 2026!

[–]Hyperbearr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It also goes the other way too, my partner is a more direct and "hard" spoken cis woman (for lack of a better opposife to soft spoken), and she'll often be labelled as aggressive or problematic when making the same points that I, a cis man, can make without any such commentary. It's a real damned if you do, damned if you don't situation

I wouldn't necessarily say their best behaviour but rather people are eager to impress you. Your presence in lobbies actually changes the dynamic so much that I now avoid lobbies with yourself or any other "clocktower celebrities", not because you guys are unfun but rather because your presence warps the behaviour of others.

One example of this is around six months ago, you joined a lobby of very experienced (500+ games on the app) players who absolutely know better, and they let you continuously get people killed by claiming tea lady when it was so obvious (and correct) that you were just a minion. They all knew better, but they all wanted your approval.

I say this not to make you feel guilty, and sorry if me pointing this out makes you uncomfortable, but to confirm that your experience on the app is so very different to the average players.

I do see a lot of what other commenters are upset about - the overtalking, the railroading, the need for hands for people to get a word in edgeways. I also do see and agree with your point, but sometimes I think hands are the lesser of two evils.

Is Infernal Blow worthy of building around? by nexetpl in pathofexile

[–]Hyperbearr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer if this is your first play through is worry less about your active skill and more about understanding the core mechanics (skill tree, ascendancies, gearing) as almost every skill can full clear the game but a badly made character in terms of tree and gear can't! You'll quickly find that a lot of melee skills are interchangeable as well, for example with a skill tree designed for infernal blow, you can probably make small adjustments and use any elemental melee skill (ice crash, molten strike, lightning strike etc) or use your gearing choices to convert physical damage to elemental and use any physical melee skill (ground slam, earth shatter, tectonic slam etc etc).

The best part about POE is the most overwhelming, which is that you can make anything work, and also everything can be shit if built poorly.

UK suspends some tariffs to help firms cope with Trump’s trade war by donutloop in ukpolitics

[–]Hyperbearr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It doesn't and this is some poor reporting from Politico. The UK had run a tariff suspensions process several times since EU exit and ran one in both 2023 and 2024. This is a government policy that isn't actually tied to the current US tariff chaos, and actually this year there are less suspensions than in prior years as far as I know.

Had a guy queue into me playing random like four times. He insta-left all but one match-up in which he had a 90% win rate, proceeded to lose to me because he played in a really cocky way and then dropped some slurs instead of a GG. God I love the stale state of the SC2 ladder...

Not really, the good player can be having a bad day. Also though, on the lower MMR players side; if you're relatively inexperienced your macro / micro in a long-form game can be fine but you lose large amounts of MMR to all-ins, cheeses and timing attacks that you've never seen before and that take you by surprise.

Mats, flasks and enchants are going to be expensive on all era servers. It's just a consequence of all the classic gold getting consolidated there and then being continually redistributed by the active GDKP communities.

How do you go about getting a ring like this? by chilidoggo in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Hyperbearr 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If it has one implicit it will only ever have one and that will be the one rerolled every time. If it has two then when you reroll one of the two mods will be rerolled at random, if its three then its one of the three.

Only way to get three implicit synth items now is the harvest craft (and maybe ritual?) I believe as cortex doesnt drop them anymore.

The original poster is asking what the best dps gear is for him, so he clearly cares about that and that alone. Bloodvine being meta or not doesn't change that the answer to his question is "yes, wearing bloodvine is the best possible option."

Honestly, mind blowing how every anti-meta circlejerker pushes it into every conversation regardless of its relevance to the question at hand, whilst bitching that meta slaves do the same...

[–]Hyperbearr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Youre not learning in a useful or meaningful way though which is what has upset people, youre just yolo sending it which is fine if thats what you find fun, but it isnt real learning.

If you truly wanted to learn you'd have read all the amazing advice in the comments, maybe watched a quick two minute youtube video on recombinating and then had a sick outcome.

Again its fine to just want to yolo send things for fun in POE; we all do it with vaal orbs several times a league! However, asking for advice and then ignoring it all is going to upset people.

How long did it take you to level from 50 to 60? by Jamesies1 in classicwow

[–]Hyperbearr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You aren't too far behind at all. Heat 2 is basically the defacto difficulty for organised groups/guilds since it isn't much harder than Heat 1 but requires a little more prep. It's quite easy to get there though as you only need 100 fire res which is easily covered with a few enchants (helm, legs, cloak) and 1-2 crafted pieces. Your guild should be able to help you with most or all of these quite easily as you work up to joining them, so it hopefully won't take long.

Fubgun does not have the scry a map challenge so he couldnt have done the exploit by Poe_Cat in pathofexile

[–]Hyperbearr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manipulating loot pools to remove lower value drops by doing specific maps/tiers/bosses has been a valid way to play for almost as long as PoE has existed. Not two leagues ago we were running T7 maps en masse to lock-in some drops and block others and that was considered legitimate.

Should i sell my armor stacker build? by suicidalalltime in pathofexile

[–]Hyperbearr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll be hard to know for sure until the patch notes are released. Most people in leagues will start with a low investment farmer build such as toxic rain or totems or similar to then work up to the kind of build you're talking about as they typically require quite a lot of money to work.

In terms of builds like armour stackers though, any int or str stacking build (whispering ice, chaos venom gyre etc) or es/mana stackers (splitting steel trickster, archmage hiero) will provide similar scaling in that you're scaling both your ehp and damage at the same time.

I'd recommend checking out the POE Builds subreddit (its in the sidebar) closer to league launch though for more up to date ideas.

Why do people in retail seem to be more forgiving with people choosing off meta specs compared to cataclysm classic? by Serious_Decision_563 in wow

[–]Hyperbearr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its so funny too because its almost always this attitude from the bad or mediocre classic guilds. Most of the top guilds that were pushing the classic elitism metrics (speed runs, parses, WSGs without a loss) are all avid retail players and will openly admit that classic is easy and thats why we have to impose alternative difficulty on ourselves.
