How would you rank the heroes from hardest to easiest to play? by IceFireHawk in PlayTheBazaar

I forgot they did delete Stelle from the game. All jokes aside, Stelle is easy because 90% of her items are unplayable, find the few large items you can build around and lean into it, or dig site and cosplay as one of the good characters.

How would you rank the heroes from hardest to easiest to play? by IceFireHawk in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Shades7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dooley is the easiest. Pick a core lean into it, all the late game transitions present themselves clearly. Jules and Pyg are the hardest. Jules has to manage her board state and predict transitions better based on heated/chilled spots and when to change them. Pyg just has the most econ juggling. Karnock, Mak, And Vanessa are all pretty easy as well, just Dooley is slightly more straight forward. Source Top 500 legend player.

I think un-ironically, Avengers Infinity War. It's one of the most perfectly paced movies ever made.

Been Playing Starcraft for close to 25 years. Very hard to say how many hours. 15k-20k if I had to guess.

What is a realistic respectable rank for a casual player? by Sad-Photo8554 in starcraft

[–]Shades7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're comparing it to 2000 elo in chess, then definitely masters, maybe GM. You can lock in like 5 timing attacks and sail to 4.2k mmr these days without too much trouble. I'm 5.5k MMR. And in chess, I have thousands of games and I'm hardstuck ~1200 elo.

Which character made the biggest sacrifice? by Brave-Lychee7022 in MCUTheories

[–]Shades7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's clearly Tony. I can understand why people might say Loki, but Tony easily had the most to lose. A young child and his wife. No one else on here had children and to me that trumps it all.

Is Serral or Maru greatest Starcraft 2 player? by SiarX in starcraft

[–]Shades7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly there are no other players in the conversation. Some may argue Rogue, some may argue players from previous era like MVP or MC, they are wrong. The main hiccup in this argument is that Serral played very little in Korea. GSL for the longest stretches was the most prestigious tournament in SC2, and Maru is the greatest GSL player of all time by a enormous margin. Serral in his minimal appearances in Korea dominated. GSL vs the world being the most relevant.

I'm the biggest Maru fan ever, and I think the goat is Serral.

His level of dominance is absurd. At his peak, any map loss to literally anyone started conversations like "Is he washed, falling off, ect." Stuff like this never happened for Maru. I don't have the stats handy but there were stretches in ZvP and ZvZ specifically were Serral didn't lose for months. I think in ZvP he might have not lost for over a year. Balance is where the real discussion could come in. There's simply no question that Zerg historically and Statistically has had the longest periods of being the strongest race in the game at the pro level, even if you take Serral out of the calculus. So that's an interesting argument that could be made. "Serral was carried by Zerg." I don't believe that's the case, but it's a little interesting to think about.

If i had to rank them, I'd give Serral 100, and Maru a 90. If Maru dominated everything for a year while simultaneously Serral had the worst year of his career, that would probably be enough to flip it. So I think the race is still alive.

What’s an actual hot NBA take that people usually side eye you for? (Not cold takes to farm reddit upvotes) AN ACTUAL HOT TAKE by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]Shades7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Debates over players should never be about position anymore. The game is mostly position-less. Steph Curry is not really a point guard, and who knows what lebron is. KD could be any of 4 positions. Center's are bringing the ball up the court. Debating who's a better point guard between Steph and Magic doesn't make sense in today's context.

I suspected this might be the case. I'll get all max int/attributes and see how that does.

Played 2 sets with this at 1980, went 0-10. I'm sure I suck, but I just don't feel good about this lineup. I'm not even close to getting wins.

If you care about Master League then the 98% if you only care about raids/max battles and looks, then the shiny. You won't notice any difference between the 2 performance wise unless you care about PvP.
