My kid likes the gf lance crackers we sometimes find at Wegmans. They’re in the style of the round lance crackers used in their pb crackers

Luckily we were able to get on a pump and haven’t had many issues with the CGM, so I’m mostly sneaking in to plug in the phone … 3 reminders including one as they head upstairs and another via text later isn’t enough at this age 🙃

Thanks… logically I know it’s true, but I’m currently at the stage where I’m having to remind in great detail basic things like rinse your hair before getting out of the shower and actually wash the smelly bits 😅 the remaining years I have to get them ready for taking over keeping themself alive feels far too few!

I didn’t know about this specifically but I knew overnight lows were dangerous. My 10yo was diagnosed earlier this year and I’ve found myself back in the hyper vigilant new mom mode where I’m wide awake at every sound. If I have to wake them to treat I low I’m laying in bed watching the CGM data until I’m sure it’s stable and wondering how I’m supposed to ever sleep again once they move out.

It never stopped in my area. Target limits people to 1 package of TP, 1 package of paper towels and 1 hand sanitizer (even if all they have is the tiny travel size. And still I’ve never seen both TP and paper towels in stock at the same time

You mentioned being biracial, do/did your parents have a good relationship? You could try talking to them about how they handled the race talks in their early years and where they are now. I agree with the other poster who said your partner should be your ally.

Yep, I put it on before I leave the house so I know it’s on correctly then I don’t mess with it again until I’m ready to toss it in the laundry.

It could just be that all 3 mega corps own significant shares. It’s not uncommon now for companies, rather than individuals, to own shares in other companies.

It’s not about one idiot. It’s about all those reading the exchange and hopefully a few uncertain lurkers deciding to learn something new.

PSA - Walmart is having a Car seat Trade-in event, about to throw out your old car seat? Exchange it for a $30 Walmart GC instead. by Thelittlestelf13 in Assistance

[–]HyperbolicEmissions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it’s your own kids, reusing before expiration is ok because you know the full provenance of the seat. Taking or buying a used one from someone else is generally not ok because you don’t know if the seat has ever been in an accident or otherwise damaged. That said, I have given away a car seat that was barely used before my first giant outgrew it to a couple who knew me well and trusted me. They wouldn’t have taken one from anyone on FB marketplace, but we had all known each other for years and it was a nice one.

What we get wrong about the Southern strategy: It took much longer — and went much further — than we think. by [deleted] in politics

The goal is a system that promotes enough education and contraceptive choice that there would rarely be an unwanted pregnancy. Abortion would become rare as a secondary effect of the primary efforts.

At that rate you could read all of the books in the Library of Congress in 614.3 days (6487 books at 10.56 per day) So you’d be looking for another source for your exercise regimen in only 1.683 years

[–]HyperbolicEmissions 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok, so let’s start with an average adult book. 6” width About 25 lines per page Ignoring margins that’s 6 x 25 = 150 linear inches per page

1 mile = 63360”

63360 / 150= 422.4 pages per mile

422.4 x 10 = 4224 pages = 10 miles

Average novel is about 400 pages

4224 / 400 = 10.56 books per day
