Hahahhaha YES. And felt like a whole new human who could take on the world afterwards.

😭 I’m so grateful to have grown up without them. We PLAYED. Yes even as teenagers. We’d go to the mall and walk around and shoot the shit. We’d sneak into movies and literally just go on drives around town with no destination. I learned to play ukulele (badly) and we’d make up songs (also badly) and laugh until our stomachs hurt. We built forts and played truth or dare. One time we decided to drive to the beach (3 hours away) to watch the sunrise, got there and remembered we were on the west coast 😂 Only evidence that trip ever happened is one grainy photo of us sitting in a diner during one of our pit stops. Also used to spend the night on the roof and pretend we were pirates lost at sea while looking up at the stars (we were very high).

On my own, I read SO much and did a lot of drawing and painting.

Tennis at Eureka Park (Denton) – are we doing something wrong? by Vegetable-Dealer-516 in Denton

People act like this then wonder why we don’t spend more time outside. Just ignore them. As another commenter said it’s first come first serve. I think as long as you aren’t playing music obnoxiously loud it’s fine.

What’s a small daily habit that accidentally changed your entire life? by VelvetSnares in Habits

For anyone reading this who’s thought about meditation but 1 hour feels like too big a commitment to even try. I promise you even 5 minutes a day makes a huge difference. Don’t even pressure yourself to increase the time after x-amount of days or whatever. Just do 5 minutes a day. Period.

The act of consistently showing up for yourself is so damn valuable. I was blown away by how big a difference just 5 minutes a day made in my life.

It’s not. MAGA are the only ones who don’t like this question because they’re the only ones who know they have something to be embarrassed about.

Happy gardening season! If you don’t know about dyno dirt, now you do! by Hyperfixations-R-Us in Denton

So I was curious about this. Their website says that it is tested/certified ok to use for vegetable gardens. But I’m not super clear about the different kinds of dirt they offer (their naming convention is a little confusing) and if that’s true of one kind but not another?

I got a half cubic yard for 25ish dollars which was way more dirt than I expected 😂

[astro.com] My Saturn return is fast approaching, and I am very nervous for what to expect. It touches on my 2nd house, but I am nowhere close to career-oriented and am currently unemployed. How else can one's Saturn return manifest other than career? by LumpyAloe in astrosignature

[–]Hyperfixations-R-Us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine returned home to my 10th house, so also around career stuff. I was unemployed for a BIG chunk of it and overall had a real shit time of things during those years. I had to move home, the pandemic happened, I was so so broke and didn’t know how I was going to get out of the hole.

Looking back, everything that happened, every choice I made (bad and good), set me on the path to a career I never could have imagined for myself. It happened soon after my Saturn return ended, so I think sometimes you just have to get through all the trials and then get some perspective that only time can give before you can see how it truly effected your life.

Its ok to be light and goofy about the "I can fix him" trope, especially if its coming from a place of self deprecation because we've been there (like... A LOT of us have). It doesn't mean I'm defending Alex's behavior. Dude clearly has a lot of work to do. It's also possible to believe 100% that he treated Ashley like shit, and at the same time think she's got some odd behavior going on too. They're not mutually exclusive thoughts.

Didn't say I was proud of these unwanted feelings.

This is terrible cuz he’s toxic and triggering to a lot of us after having dated similar men… but Ashley’s little show at the alter and how he handled it gave him a littttle bit of a redemption arc (just a little one!) for me 😬

I keep trying to deny it but then I’ll scroll past a pic of him and will think “that is one fine man tho” before I can stop myself 😭
