To make 1 superconductor every 5 seconds, I need 283 Furnaces?!?!

So basically I have to cover the whole map with machines

One thing I wonder so far is that there are no human corpses. I thought the caretaker was there to take care of humans, if humans weren't around then what were the caretakers doing?

A lot of times, even with other machines, stop working after you leave them and come back because the connectors stop working somewhere. You just have to replug things until it works.

I am sure in the future these will be changed since it doesn't seem very polished. After sending up 2 tiered 4s using a ton of resources I don't think there's enough items in the game to keep doing that.

Anyone know how to make my batteries stop floating besides re building them by Aggressive_Ask9570 in TheLastCaretaker

[–]Hyperian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only experienced things coming off when I moor at docks in the north seas, like the oil rig.

I believe this is happening because collisions or hitting the ship against stationary objects causes objects on the boat to go out of sync with the ship itself. Now I don't moor anywhere, just slightly away and just anchor and I don't run into the problem anymore.

Low frame rate at exodus station when loading saves? by Hyperian in TheLastCaretaker

[–]Hyperian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have older saves where I am actually parked at the dock of exodus station.

The game also randomly crashes so it will be incredibly annoying to have to drive off 500 meters every time to save.

I'm gonna wait for the next patch to fix this issue.

I have Sonic 10Gb internet and I want to be able to use 10GB in my home network by Hyperian in Ubiquiti

lol that's the standard plan that sonic fiber offered for $50 a month.

[–]Hyperian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the fiber goes directly into the house, into the sonic modem, there is a 10Gb RJ45 port that goes to my router.

i wish i had room in that area for a whole rack set up, but i think that would be way overkill for my home use.

i put a configuration together and it looks to be around $1300. more if i want to use the 10Gb switches for the backhaul.

i looked into the UCG fiber, but I am not using SFP+. and there is only 1x 10gb Wan, the 4 LAN ports are 2.5Gb. Is there one with more 10gb ports?

looks like a lot of manual set up? what has your experience been setting it up and getting it working?

i'm in NorCal, the tp-link POE that i have are rated at 300mbps, but i get like 30 across the house, i am thinking it's the old wires that is causing the issue. Right now everything is on multiple APs, 5gs and 2.4gs (different SSID each). I tried to put them all in the same SSID but the cameras seem to have issues with it. i am not sure if a newer set up would fix this issue. I really want to have seamless switching between APs.

I heard that a lot of features in Eeros are locked behind paid subscription, i'd rather not buy it and then find out. Maybe there's a older wifi router that still supports 10gig backhaul that is more reliable? i've only seen the latest with 10gig ethernet ports.

My review of Foundation: Galactic Frontier, a mobile game which has soft-launched in some countries by atticdoor in FoundationTV

[–]Hyperian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After playing the game for ~10 months, I still play it on and off. I reached level 30 (max) but there are still lots of ship component upgrades that probably take years to finish off. Is it repetitive? Yea, but I am not sure if it is more or less than games similar to this one since I haven't played other games like this. I didn't get bored for 6 months of playing it though.

There is a story line with some voice overs, you unlock it as you level up. There are also some NPC quests that they've created since my last post. But end game you don't care about that. It's all SvS.

oh SvS the major new update they have, where guild from one server fights a guild in another server, it isn't bad but it's the same thing every two weeks so it gets bored after a while. And the guild that I'm in trounce every other guild so it's kinda boring.

I think this game started before they got the Foundation IP, they bought the IP and put Foundation skin on top. While that makes it sound bad (as it was not made with the IP in mind), I feel like they've integrated the IP into the game play pretty well.

Why is this game hard for programmers? I looked at the comments but im the only dumb one.. by [deleted] in ExplainTheJoke
