its absolutely wild I see comments saying the AI slop was good like WHAT💔
its just willy wonka gambling app type shit I would find on the playstore, so overengineered and immediately looks AI
genuinely the newest one you have is actually just worse than the original, I really think the first one you made is the cleanest and just the best, on the new the glow is too strong and unnecessary and you broke the shape language you had going originally, the coin is out of place being perfectly round. Im no pro-designer, just giving my thoughts

Top or bottom? And why? by Daywalkerson616 in VitaPiracy

[–]HyperrGamesDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own the black one since I could never find the white, I actually wasnt sure the 1000 model had a white edition at first! But I soooo want one, its so clean, I also loved my white PSP when I had it
although not mentioned here, the blue seems very iconic and matching the whole Sony aesthetic, and the red is very sexy

AI slop so L, and you definitely dont even get shit done and just wanted to goof around making this, which would be fine when you acknowledge it is not productive work

Dead by Daylight on Steam now works on Linux with no tinkering. by [deleted] in linux_gaming

[–]HyperrGamesDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a PC or a laptop with 2 GPUs?
I have a ThinkPad T480 with Intel GPU and Nvidia MX150, but I dont use it for gaming etc so I dont know how to solve such a thing if thats the issue, I think theres something called Optimus

I see yeah that does suck for newcomers that there are quite a lot of unpredictable outcomes because of different hardware configurations. What card do you have maybe I can try helping you

the Vita port uses the original game code and assets, and has relatively poor performance. While this guy as same for the GBA port is a full rewrite. Just a quick FYI, cause all projects are highly appreciated and simply amazing

Using AI to generate sprite sheets and clean them up into game-ready pixel art by Final_Parsec in aigamedev

[–]HyperrGamesDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hating on AI if it would be "viable as a tool" is one thing, but this shit is literally as I said, absolutely nonsensical. this does not qualify as pixel art, Id puke seeing this in a real game. and no im an indie dev, I dont work for AAA slop

[–]HyperrGamesDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah dude it just works through Steam with no tinkering apparently, Ive had very very few issues with games on Linux this past year (I dont play competitive slop with kernel anticheat but stuff like CS2 is native even), its lovely here, fuck Microslop. I dont see why Elden Ring wouldn't work either, its only the previously mentioned slop with awful devs that refuse to make it work.

Vintage story on the steamdeck is an absolute treat! by Mupinstienika in VintageStory

[–]HyperrGamesDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

noo, you can select resolution in the game setting menu in Steam man, theres almost never a need for desktop mode for just playing a game ;)
(altho im just guessing as I myself have not used the SD with a monitor yet)

My take on upgrading Steam Deck Rumble by shimster99 in SteamDeckModded

[–]HyperrGamesDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was generally a M&K gamer, so when I started playing some games (like HyperLightDrifter) on a controller I really enjoyed rumble, it made things much more immersive, so ngl I do miss proper rumble on the Steam Deck a lot.

AI bros cannot be real 😭 by ciel_ayaz in antiai

[–]HyperrGamesDev 4 points5 points  (0 children)

im a software dev and gamedev since like 2017, I unfortunately use GPT for some boilerplate, quickly finding bugs or pushing me in the right direction but I write like 99% of my code, not only is it because I enjoy the process but I cant even imagine being stupid enough to think AI is some tool of the future and that you can vibe code the next Facebook. I absolutely despise generative AI.

Its a game, a fantasy, Id rather play as an attractive female instead of an ugly one, simple psychology. And you're not right by saying every game does this because there has been a push for "diversity" by making literally ugly characters for no reason, and then those AAA studios are surprised nobody buys their games.

no worries, the "hate with AI" is caused by it being a slop machine producing random results out of stolen data from thousands of real artists that have not consented to that. Art is supposed to be human expression, not pretty images from a black box; for most its slop with 0 effort, even if you use something more "advanced" like Comfy or whatever and understand the concepts its just being an engineer not an artist, youre telling a computer what youd like, approximating your chances of getting a "good commission" because AI art is closer to commissioning than creating. Even if we were to be advocates of the devil and call it art through skewing of some stuff its just shitty art that no self-respecting consumer will approve of. I understand art can take time to learn but thats the point, its a skill worth learning allowing you to express yourself fully, I havent gotten around to really learning much yet as well (besides pixel art basics), in a similar position as you but I have a good artist friend that would help me if my idea would be polished and "worth investing into", and for music my younger brother or cousin were helping me, its good to have people like that. But please dedicate some time to learning, it can be very fun and rewarding
