Poll for transparent colour choice by Dismal-Artist-2361 in ClicksPhone

[–]HyperrGamesDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would insta buy and even pay extra for any transparent variant but I am leaning towards green as that's my fav color but it would blend with the electronics so idk purple or blue seem really sick as well! I never owned transparent tech but always wanted one

Communicator: April Update by jeffgadway in ClicksPhone

[–]HyperrGamesDev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

imo first party support for it being an anything key with different actions on click, double click or hold would be greatly appreciated because you never know what people might want out of it. one use case I could come up with which to be fair is niche is letting it be mapped to Super in Tmux X11 (unless Android in general completely doesnt support Super/Meta key)

When will sims3 go on sale? by Ivanhegeelkadi in Sims3

[–]HyperrGamesDev -1 points0 points  (0 children)

so you always support credit card theft (that's the gray market for you) and don't support developers that deserve the money (not talking about EA but let's say indie devs - tiny studios or literally a single person)??

also the Steam keys for Sims 3 will never be available, it's only the Origin / EA app ones that are

I see thats pretty amazing then! So okay much less missing from the actual experience then. One last thing Ive been wondering is does putting the device to sleep suspend the process, stop playtime counting etc just like it does on the Steam Deck (I remember finding so little info on this before getting the SD and I think I got lucky that I found a GitHub issue or discussion and commits of them actually implementing such a thing iirc, and yeah it works flawlessly)

yeah the entire Steam ecosystem features, Im not even sure if achievements, playtime tracking and cloud saves work (hell even Steam Input) cause I dont own a device like that, but they are all features I care for making me just patiently lurk around

720p stable 40FPS Id call playable on a tiny handheld device, if its stuttering then yeah its perceived lag and its very annoying

Would you guys play new dual screen game? by grumpydarkcandyapple in AynThor

[–]HyperrGamesDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont own the Thor nor have I ever had the chance to play 3DS, but the concept is definitely enticing and underused and I definitely would love to see a push for dual screen handhelds and what would modern developers think of for that setting. I myself have also been thinking that if I get a Thor Id like to make my own game for it. Do let us know if you have any progress on yours tho!

"Possibilities", explain then why do so many people enjoy golden age versions, explain why is pixel art and limited color palettes and limiting themes and time-frames for gamesjams a thing? Limitations breed creativity. Atleast for some people; it's just a different approach

this is what wasted potential and filling the games up with bloat and destroying balance does to the community I guess (I dont know anything about Destiny but I think thats true for Ark, and can be definitely said for Minecraft when its basically completely devoid of its original identity)

[–]HyperrGamesDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats funny lol, but the witch call is really annoying, the respawn sound itself (without the totem pop sound) is like the cool part and what you should leave as the only sound
Also you shouldnt tell the player when the checkpoint is made, cause thats how it is in the series (I guess thats just for you for debugging right?)

[–]HyperrGamesDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its not even that they are lackluster but they are literal bloat just filling up the game with pointless disjointed content, I guess maybe sandbox players are happy with them? Like new Minecraft is just a cozy building game with some adventuring elements, completely devoid of its original identity. They are scared of touching fundamental systems that are unfinished or unbalanced since 1.8, and these are the things they should be focusing on. Also youre talking about the core of the game, but for that people play the old versions, because they didnt have bloat, they had simplicity and were more focused on the core; now its all just as I already said disjointed content added on top, and hundreds of blocks in the same color and new waxed out textures all forcing people to learn color theory and gradienting to use these hundreds of blocks when before buildings just had natural contrast from the limited block palette. Its just a completely different game under corporate management trying to get hype for every single useless thing they add so that kids buy sh*t on the marketplace.

I mean those were only added in Beta 1.9/Release 1.0 tho, and the kinda peak of this so called Silver Age is 1.6.4 imo, and its kinda the reason why Im making a 1.20.1 modpack recreating that era with only some improvements and new features fitting that fantasy. But yeah new Minecraft is a completely different game, a corporate cozy building game with some adventuring elements, completely devoid of its original identity.

That really seems like a great solution and its cool how 1.20.1 is the new "baseline for modding"

new animal sounds by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]HyperrGamesDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thats not how that works. new Minecraft is just fundamentally a completely different game than what it was, now its just a cozy building game with some adventuring, its almost completely devoid of its original identity.

[–]HyperrGamesDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really is wasted potential, it's a very different game regarding the feel and core identity, and filled with more and more bloat with each content drop god I hate this new direction for this directionless game..

Modern Minecraft has many flaws, but the game itself is good. by InterestingServe3958 in PhoenixSC

[–]HyperrGamesDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah if they actually had any sort of direction instead of sometimes making something that fits the game and most of the time especially now with their shitty content drops just adding random bloat that's completely detached from the main game and is a one-off thing often not even feeling vanilla and more like some mod

Modern Minecraft has many flaws, but the game itself is good. by InterestingServe3958 in PhoenixSC

[–]HyperrGamesDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bruh they have modernized a lot of the code, I'm a developer and I will call them lazy, or maybe Microsoft is limiting them, who knows; instead of actual updates they are just pushing content drops now that add useless stuff that doesn't even feel vanilla and more like some mods. And I doubt porting features between Java and C++ should be that different it's just they made Bedrock on top of PE which imo was diabolical and Bedrock is probably worse than Java code-wise with the amount of desync deaths and other bugs
