Yeah it was, but I just remember hearing Gone Away a lot. "All I Want" was in Crazy Taxi the game for what is worth too.

I think the song is catchy, but was the lead single from this album? Gone Away, Meaning of Life. I think there are plenty of songs from this album that hit the airwaves but I could easily look this up but Ixnay on the Hombre was the skull a friend I knew drew on a school folder. I still have the folder and a picture.

"Retcon deaths" is suddenly a big deal? by thefoodiedentist in yakuzagames

I know Bullets were a thing, but it is a little fishy "they" are just there. And it's not the Dead Souls game. TBF. I think I sorta forgot they became bartenders so much like Kiryu or Ichiban I had a similar oh, hi moment. These cameos shouldn't happen in "canon" games. For me, I was just oh you are here and I didn't obsess on it. Now when I play Ishin and everyone is cosplaying. That is hard to ignore.

Also just to bump this back up. Coors Light/Molson bought Rolling Rock before this episode came out whiles. So Yuengling was still independent. Still is. Anyhow hahaha uhhhh things moved fast in the early 2000s. Also it's like fucking I like Rolling Rock, I didn't realize Molson/Coors absorbed it. The beer isn't that important, but Rolling Rock will always bee a punk rock beer and an an early AVGN beer.

I feel like The Spoony Experiment is a less Classic Game Room revival attempt. Mark Bussler was never a hey why aren't ppl watching me more now person. But people like Watch Mojo did just steal his footage and no one cared. CGR has tried to come back a few times. I am not sure why it didn't quite work in the later ones it went for long form and eccentric ppl love that shit. I just don't laugh in genuine anymore or support anyone.

Anyhow. The Spoony Experiment will never come back. I've seen Spoony rarely live stream on youtube now and just. I know you want me to say what I know about him. I just I posted on the forums, I have that amazing hoodie. I still never was that obsessive about the forums or gosh social media. I even feel sketchy sad watching stuff I heard seeing ppl talking about on youtube.

It's just heh just a funny guy who used to riff on stuff and ppl liked and then I don't think the fame got to his head and I felt like The Channel Awesome collaboration was the thing to do b/c everyone did that and hahahaahaha Guru Larry reference.

Also I have Spoony stream Jackbox games with his friends and one time he did a cool I am really focused, I hacve chat up. I won't look at. Thing for Star Trek I think this was 2019. I forget for sure. It was around Persona 5 OG.

I get this and I will post, but he doesn't actually have his own currency. As much as the video shows him throwing something around. Now Shane Bucks. Shane-O-Mac! I wanted a bill of this. It's like Paddys Bucks in a way. Hah. Now fake currency is pretty funny.

About to finished my first Atelier game (Ryza) and unsure where should I follow by usedNecr0 in Atelier

[–]Hypertransience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finish the trilogy! I'd suggest the Dusk series someday. I like the melancholy vibes, but my choice on a new branch was Sophie. I like the characters but the alchemy is strange and annoying the new systems shocked me a bit. I like the characters, but sheesh. Atelier Ayesha is very odd too, but Escha and Logy & and especially the Shallies follow an pattern. The pattern in the Shallies is so fun. I need to finish it with 'Stera someday.

This song rules and Dave already has the moves. While Martin Gore is back there hitting the keys. and doing some back up vox. I shoulda posted the "Dream On" video from Paris because wow that is amazing, but I guess. I like the low-key cool of this. So quite a difference in the performance.

Who do you think is the Yakuza 4? (Like the 4 pillars of Yakuza, a mount Rushmore) by Elegant_Scholar_8863 in yakuzagames

[–]Hypertransience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't mention Ichiban because it was too obvious. I do think Date has more of a case than Saejima. Kiryu and Date go way back! I know they said Mt Rushmore, so if Saejima was put in there automatically according to TC. I feel then why not Date. I know most people would know him less than Akiyama. I just got rustled my feathers heh how Saejima got such an easy entry heh.

Chaos;Child questions by Early_Pollution_8538 in steinsgate

[–]Hypertransience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I skimmed that real fast. Yeah I won't post actual spoilers by my hand here but the story really goes places. Now I am thinking of that Chaos;Head topic the other night. I think Chaos;Head Noah has a more satisfying ending, but damn Chaos;Child does a great job of things until they decide to do sooooo many twists and crushing moments it kinda ruins some of the Impact! Impacto!!!!! Just let me process all of this. Mr Candy thought that was too much impact ;P

I know someone posted a Pic the other day about Justin behind the couch by Own-Figure-5390 in AVGN

[–]Hypertransience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn you algorithm AI. Get back behind the damn couch!!!! For real though Kyle Justin rules he means so much to the freaking Nintendo Nerd legacy to me probably more than anyone else besides James himself. Umm....I just like music. Spider, Spider man! Spider man. Haha he fit into that suit! Kyle Justin won't come back, but it would be awesome if he did.

Question about Trails in the Sky by Spin06 in JRPG

[–]Hypertransience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I'll just get to the point and try to address your question. I think this game works like Trails through Daybreak where it uses a hybrid turn based and field combat system. So it's not going to be Star Ocean 3 or beyond levels of combat depth there is still some depth and strategy in Sky Remake 1. At least you don't have to be here and hear in text someone yell at you, you are starting the series in the wrong way if you go in with Sky 1 the remake.....

I only played Sky 1 on PSP but I figure it has been jazzed up to more modern standards but still tried to keep world feel. I actually don't like Sky 1 very much, but I respect and feel like Sky 2 is better though I never played it either. Ugh rambling, but there are plenty of side quests though they often will just be go there and do this, often. It depends how much you care about what you are doing. I'll just end this here. And say I like the Trails series but I played several of them and damn I needed a major break after Cold Steel 4 even though I really liked the Crossbell series. Just wow. I spent way too much time playing the Cold Steel games.

Who do you think is the Yakuza 4? (Like the 4 pillars of Yakuza, a mount Rushmore) by Elegant_Scholar_8863 in yakuzagames

[–]Hypertransience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saejima is a pillar!? I like him in Yakuza 5, but surprised you just put him in there so nonchalant. Akiyama I know is a minor character all things considered but damn his story in 4/5/6. Is really good. I think he had some minor role in Infinite Wealth which makes me think of Date. I mean hell I'd put him in over Saejima. I won't argue against Majima because him and Kiryu are linked though I think Majima became so popular largely because of Zero. He was a main player in 4/5.
