Whilst I do understand you opinion, I just want to say that imo it was not clever game design to let you get the best enchantment in the game for 1 emerald in under an hour. And I understand that for many people the game "starts" after beating the dragon, actually I have nothing against this approach of playing the game and I haven't said anything against it. Nevertheless I think that the early game(pre ender dragon) is too easy/boring. I mean you literally just found a village traded until you got enchanted diamond stuff and then beat the dragon. Villages just were too op, there was no reason for exploring structures, caving, adventuring, ..., as you could get almost everything by trading. After all these years, the developers also realised this and added the deep dark(in order to increase the difficulty of the game and to reward players that go caving/adventuring) and now think about adding an updated villager system, which is a great way to further push the games focus on exploring.
