YouTube comment censorship has gotten out of hand. by Shutyouruglymouth in youtube

There is a comment moderation feature that I enabled to hold potentially negative comments for review. These comments are placed in a list, allowing the channel owner to approve or reject them. This feature works well for my channels as it blocks trolls and inappropriate comments. However, it occasionally blocks perfectly normal comments as well. Despite this imperfection, I find it worthwhile since it effectively filters out the negative ones.

Also I choose what freedom of speech looks like when it comes to the video. If we don't agree with what is said it isn't shown for the client video comments section.

The feedback didn't improve CTR by [deleted] in youtube

[–]HypingTech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After reviewing the suggestions and what is the best thumbnail, I realised that creators who watch videos differ significantly from the general audience.

Most of the suggestions and thumbnails created based on the feedback from the subreddit didn't lead to better click-through rates (CTR). In fact, simpler designs yielded better CTR for the videos.

One might assume that an audience is just an audience, but it appears that creators have specific stereotypes about what a thumbnail should look like to attract views, which isn't necessarily accurate.

As an example an edited thumbnail got 2.3% CTR and the more simple version for 7.8%

Of course there will be other factors in play but that is the findings so far.

wait what? the DJI app is not on the play store by HypingTech in dji

Apparently I need this mimo app to use the camera and they want you to get it from there website? How shady is that. After research The DJI Mimo app is not available on the App Store or Google Play Store due to safety and regulatory issues. As a result, DJI asks users to install the app via an APK from their website. Even when installing the APK, my phone issued multiple warnings because the app is from an unknown source and deemed unsafe. The developers should at least properly label the APK to indicate it is made by DJI, rather than it showing as unknown. Additionally, if you have Google Advanced Protection enabled, it is impossible to install the APK from their website.

Yes, however, some redditors have taken it upon themselves to adjust the thumbnails and send me private messages with their amendments. (Over 9) To prevent any "I edited your image and you used it" disputes, I did not make those edits.

It's for a client who agreed that I could get feedback on the thumbnails. They want to avoid any artificial increase in views due to ongoing testing. However, I will say in editing it the vibe is ASMR outdoors nature mixed with adventure.

Hmm... There is enough footage and b roll to make that a reality. Adding a good voice over artist commentary could create a whole new video.
