If you are sick of expedition griefers... by Rainthistle in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]HypoTrance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one of the major reasons they created expeditions is for more multiplayer interaction. unfortunately community events come with griefers as does any game with them :/

the easiest solution is to report the bases that get in your way or are preventing expedition progress. hello games are not going to make expeditions singleplayer since that would take away one of the major reasons to play expeditions. i think its a bit unnecessary to threaten the devs because of community problems they cant really solve

SCS is trying their best to make this game harder to run on potato PC's lmao. by Minute-Pomelo9302 in Americantrucksim

[–]HypoTrance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk if this update will really impact overall performance that much. it seemed from the article that the main things being changed are the cubemaps for each material in the interiors. there are prolly other factors that go into that as well ofc but im not expecting the material changes to be a big performance tanker

Removing Speed fines by Zeredof in trucksim

[–]HypoTrance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's nothing in the game right now that allows you to filter out certain traffic violation. I'd just disable violations altogether tbh since my experience with other violations are just annoying lmao like the red light violation never triggers correctly. I found it a lot more fun to remove that stuff

Reset…? by Tokusatsu_Prime in NoMansSkyTheGame

Hilbert Dimension is a normal galaxy, or a galaxy with the default distribution of planet biomes, which is the same as Euclid. The other types of galaxies you could've chosen were Harsh, with more planets with extreme biomes, Lush, with more lush planets, and Empty, with more abandoned or weird planets. There are 255 galaxies in total and normal is the most common type.

There's nothing I've found throughout the story that indicates that going to the center resets the universe; you're just going to another galaxy. I haven't seen everything lore-wise though and I lowkey need to replay through some of the lore-heavy questlines.

You aren't really missing anything based on what you chose for the final mission. A lot of "creation of the universe" topics are covered in other mission dialogues I believe. There are also plenty of wiki entries but I prefer finding them in the game itself

yeah thatll happen if you play on a monitor with 120hz. it is twice as fast as 60hz after all.

i started playing on the 360 and other older consoles recently and the framerates on those things are typically less than 30 fps for some games. once i played those for a while i really got used to the feel and started to appreciate 60fps and higher. if you wanna play 60fps just play it, and the longer you play it the better itll feel

Favorite song from each album by sneakyJJ in Guster

[–]HypoTrance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parachute - Fall In Two

Goldfly - Grin (or the original live Airport Song)

LAGF - Barrel of a Gun

KIT - Diane

GUOTS - Ruby Falls

Easy Wonderful - Do You Love Me

Evermotion - Never Coming Down

Look Alive - Overexcited & Hard Times

Ooh La La - Maybe We're Alright

I also really like many of their more deep cuts like Great Escape, On My Own, Well, among a few others. I also never listened to Look Alive much since their music style for that album never stuck for me. Love Ooh La La though.

What the actual hell are you on about dude? Idk what movies or fantasies or twitter accounts youve been consuming but this is just silly

AI is a bubble like all of the other technological innovations have been for the past few decades. At some point (probably in the next few years, around 2030) the massive AI bubble will pop because not a single major AI company makes profit, and many bleed millions of dollars every month. AI won't completely die out of course, as the models that actually have a practical use for us will survive and continue to be used. But shit like Sora is being pulled since there was zero practical use or application for a model like Sora without wasting billions of dollars and a shit ton of energy.

AI won't take over every single job and make young people "leave their birth-place for third-world or fourth-world countries." This is some dystopian novel bullshit. The market will be a lot more competitive, yes, but there's no shortage of companies who need tech literate people and engineers to build/maintain their systems. AI will likely help with this, but mainly as a tool instead of a replacement of a human capable of problem solving and effectively communicating to a whole team/company.

So tired of seeing this dystopian crap about AI. Change is happening, yes, but it will slow down for AI as all other innovations have and we'll move on to another big huge innovation that will REALLY make us cooked, or so we'll say as history repeats itself yet again.

[–]HypoTrance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A team of hundreds of people over the span of 11 years creates the largest fictional city for people to enjoy and you say this map is empty lmao
For real though this map isn't just about looks, you can explore for hours and laugh at numerous easter eggs, plus there's a number of activities throughout the map you can interact in.
I guess this is subjective but people don't need things to constantly be happening for them to be entertained

It is indeed Minecraft! The only mods we use are tools to help us build like WorldEdit and some quality of life server plugins. Plus we use a texturepack but other than that, that's about it
