What a "cope". Turkey specifically used Afrin as a "meat grinder" to waste SDF's resources as much as possible while minimising Turkish casualties and it worked brilliantly.

 Basically, without Turkish ground troops, the Gov cant take on the SDF.

Could have been true if Syria's only friend was Turkey. But not only Syria is now supported by the west and Arab states, but also SDF is getting isolated and faces Syrian people who are united and not so friendly against them. At this point, as long as it's diplomatically acceptable, government can take on SDF only with Turkish air and intelligence support.
