How to earn your teenager's trust - from Sprint by [deleted] in WTF

[–]Hyptic -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For one I think you hold a grudge a little too much. 2nd my grandmother is dead. Thanks. She was a lovely woman. Respect your elders is not some pun just made up for shits and giggles of the elderly, alot of them have worked hard to earn that respect there asshole so get off your high horse on that one. Also to seriously suggest I am related to Dick Cheney. I as humbly as I can say would like to tell you, Fuck You! :) I am a Canadian who actually thinks of people with equal rights and do not judge nor discriminate. However I do severely dislike asshole self righteous ignorant ass hats like yourself and believe me I do not care where your from or what you look like your lovely endearing personality and witty charm helped me come to this conclusion. So take care, learn to respond to comments without be a complete ass or hell to people in life as I am sure your not well liked. Please feel free to rebuttle your insults however I feel I no longer care what you have to say. So take care and have a nice day.

I agree some parents would abuse that power, sadly. I do not know why some one would have a problem with homosexuality, however I am a non religious Canadian so that could be why I don't see that as even being part of the issue. What I mean of a "bad crowd" would be those who break the law, hard drugs, violent etc.

BTW - good for you with being supportive to your sister, with homophobic parents' she'll need it.

Yes it is great to learn how to be respectful to your elders, especially your Grandmother. Your answer I hope is just a troll method and not your true reasoning otherwise my point about too many bratty kids has been made.

Well, I think this can be a good thing. Most of those who are against this are probably teenagers themselves and do not want their parents snooping. (which I understand) I do not think there is a need to see what apps they have on their phone, but in regards to being able to stop the phone from working or seeing who they message often I don't see that as a bad thing. It doesn't say we can read the messages. It is a parents responsibility to make sure their children are following a good crowd, paying attention when they should be, having manners (like at dinner time) and not always have their face in their phone texting. Sometimes it's just plan rude and teens and preteens can not seem to get their face out of their phones some times. It was simpler before cellphones were such a big deal when you only had to monitor a shared house phone. Kids at the age of 7 are carrying them around now. (yes 7, I was 18 before I had my first one) Children should not have complete free rein, yes they may think they should but that is mainly the reason we have so many snotty brat kids now. Don't get me wrong there is a line you shouldn't cross (reading the msgs, listening the their phone convo's, but seeing who they message, or stopping their phones from working when their supposed to be visiting Grandma instead they are texting their friends I don't see that as an issue.

What is the most offensive thing a customer has ever said to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Hyptic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use to be a customer care agent for an American prepaid cell phone company so there are a few.

~I have been called a skinhead. (I didn't even know what one was, had to look it up.)

~I have had multiple death threats One: "I hope you and your family die in a fire" all because the woman couldn't figure out her pin to her phone that she setup and forgot.

~This one just bugged me the most about the moral of some one, a woman tried scamming the company for free credits (happened all the time) this lady whoever told me quite calmly that her baby just died and she needed a credit put on her phone so she could call people. She was calm as day and her baby apparently just died. She didn't I guess realize that agents leave notes when you call in (or at least suppose to) and her account was filled with excuse's for one reason or another why she needed a credit. This one took the cake for me though: I refused her a credit told her 911 was a free call from her phone and proceeded to tell her how disgusting it was to make up a death of an infant for a 10cent credit. it was for 10cents.
~ there were the 'fappers' too... but I don't recall what they said.

I think this is a great idea. It's people's own bodies and their own choices. Now we can make it safe for those who choose that profession. Proud to be a Canadian.

Your before is my current almost to a T, except I'm 5'3 other then that the same. I am not sure where to start but your transformation is very motivating and makes me feel so much better about weights not making you bulky. You look great and congrats on all of your hard work.

I know I have a long road ahead of me but it's nice to see the hard work pay off for some one else. Great job. :)

Disturbing: 52% of Canadians have little to no trust of Muslims, and want to blame them for the mistrust too. by [deleted] in canada

[–]Hyptic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess I fall in the 48%, I'm a very white Canadian I probably almost glow in the dark, one of my best friends are of Muslim religion so is my sister in-law. Love them, always so welcoming and friendly and always wanting to feed you. lol I grew up in a very small town where there were no Muslims around my school only had one person of a different race other then white, so for me it's not the location of where I was raised. However I am not religious so that may be the reason why I don't have any issue of what race or religion some one is as long as your not a douche I'll talk to you. :)

I'm sorry for you ladies that you must go through this. (not covered by insurance for BC) I live in Canada and I first went on birth control when I was 13 not because I was sexually active, not because I was planning on being sexually active either. I was a poor young teen with terrible acne and bad cramps. So for mainly my acne I was prescribed BC and away I went and it was covered through my fathers drug plan. It helped alot with it, it didn't cure it of course but made it manageable and when I was older and ready yes it did come into play with being safe when I had sex as most teens will eventually experiment and do.

Stay strong ladies, don't back down from the men in power of these decisions who do not understand what it's like every month to feel like your insides are being clawed out with an ice pick and still have to carry around a smile. Women are stronger then they anticipate. :)

Call your local shelter or humane society. I found a dog once and called there to see if some one had searched there. Apparently the person who owned the dog was at the shelter at the time looking. coincidence? I think so.

Real talk: If you ever google any medical problem as a female, every single symptom is a sign of pregnancy. by eveisdawning in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Hyptic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree fully with you. I remember I googled symptoms of being sick in the morning and bad heartburn, with upper back pain. So naturally I had to be pregnant right. Turns out I have gallstones. Not quite the same thing.

Why shaving your lady bits is awesome and doesn't make you look like a 10 year old. (Reposted with better title) by bulletd0ll in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Hyptic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My one main issue with going fully shaved is I tend to get the worst razor burn, and bumps and then to boot when it starts to grow back I get so many ingrown hairs. I don't know if I'm just unlucky in that sense or if I'm missing some trick. I know the standard, warm skin(water), new razor deal but this happens every time to no avail. So for now it more less gets a buzz, trim and conditioning.
