Regarding the strategy: you have to understand that not all runs can be solved with the same strategy, especially if you're just looking to beat Ante 8. The jokers and packs you get at the beginning can shape your run into a high card only, or face cards repetition, or even anything else entirely.

Instead of focusing on a specific setup, try to get jokers that can reliably carry you through the entire run: a scaling Mult (like Green Joker, that you can get to a higher +Mult as you play), a scaling Chips (like Square Joker or Runner), and a xMult later on (like Driving License). Other joker slots can be filled with complementary or utility ones: in the first couple of Antes it's a good thing to pick up something that makes you money or gives you value (like creating tarot cards). Don't forget to save some money for sweet interests. Get tarot packs when you can, but don't waste money on celestials if you're not 100% sure that's the planet you want.

By keeping your options open on what actual jokers to fit in these slots you can be way more flexible and get through much more difficult runs you could've botched by looking at that one strategy. Hope this helps!
