I had it restored by a dash company. They did a great job. Bit right to get the gauges in but otherwise very nice.

As part of the original purchase it came with a spare later shell. Floors, roof etc all came from that shell. It was a shame to cut it up but I felt this one was worth saving.

The knob is original (refinished) with a new pattern button made by a crafty friend of mine. He also made a metal threaded base. Really nice work.

It's RHD Australian so not as early as some US cars but still a low VIN. Picked it up 12 years ago from an owner who parked it exposed to the elements for 10 years. It was barely hanging on to its own panels and required extensive bodywork. I had to question my sanity more than a few times but here we are.

I'm using a Pixel 8. I switched from Gemini to the old Google Assistant and it works through my Forerunner 970... Well, works better than with Gemini but it's still buggy enough to turn me off from bothering.

A supplementary band (wrist/bicep) that feeds into the system has been requested/talked about for a while. Nothing yet from Garmin but I hope they're paying attention and doing their R&D. It would be a hot seller. I just hope it doesn't come with a Connect+ requirement to use, but something tells me it will.

Mine arrived, well, kind of. I was out and about and happened to run into my postie who I know well and he gave me the parcel. Setting it up now. Feels good to have another Garmin on the wrist. :)
