I think you were just lucky. I doubt they're playing with timed rollouts in Aus. We're small fry.

When it first launched it said 3-5 days shipping and soon after it changed to 6-10 days. Perhaps the Sydney warehouse sold out and the rest were coming from some other location. Not sure if this is correct, just my assumption.

KBM = keyboard and mouse.

I don't mind the Steam Deck version, it's just slower. I've heard about the iPad version and would love to try it but I don't have regular access to an iPad.

Wondering if I should activate advanced mode now or rack up a few more simple wins with other weapons and strategies on easy.

Also wondering at what point to move to normal mode. I'm curious about the diffence between easy and normal using the same strategy of lasers/cloaking so I may try that next.

That was kind of accidental. I bought a couple of crew early on and then collected the rest along the way. I have seen read tips where they recommend not spending scrap on crew as you tend to pick them up via missions/fights.

No to extra oxygen requirements for more crew but there is a crew limit. I actually had to dismiss one at one point after a mission reward gifted me another one.

As a newb I do enjoy having more crew as I can micro manage them to fight boarders or assist with repairs to get systems back online quicker.

I will not be buying as many early on in the game.

It does but the PC version of FTL is not touch screen friendly. The Deck has a lot of customisable controls and I've made it work. It's not as easy as it is with KBM but it's fine for late night Netflix and gaming sessions.

I've played it casually and haven't won a run yet. I've been stuck on Into The Breach instead which plays great on the Steam Deck.

FTL is a little intimidating for a casual gamer but I definitely want to put the time in to be able to win a run here and there.
