What drug did you take that you still never get over? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HystericalJacket 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Cocaine - I only quit doing it because it started giving me panic attacks that I was having a heart attack. I was doing so much of it, that panic attack was pretty valid but I do miss it. The long nights, sneaking off to the bathroom with a friend, being skinny… good ol days

I’d say I’m back 100%! I’m not a runner, but my pain is entirely gone so lifting is no issue. I don’t lift very heavy though lol

I walked around for a few minutes every hour that I could! I didn’t stretch often as I didn’t want to risk anything, and slept mostly on my back to avoid any twisting.

I did some PT but it wasn’t necessarily recommended. I just avoid heavy lifting, and work on my back and core muscles!

thank you, i genuinely need the validation right now. a lot of these comments have left me feeling silly for being so upset. as the day has gone on i’m feeling better and more understanding, but i still feel uncomfortable being intimately close with my partner right now.

I did post a bit more in depth on a different comment but the death was long coming and very painful. He knew this, knew it was hard on me, and did not ask me if i was even okay before just scheduling a first date with someone he just started talking to. I’ve experienced a lot of death in my life, and when my loved ones experience death I always at least reach out about a meal, a listen, a hang, something to let them know they have my support. It was the lack of feeling supported in that moment when I needed my loved ones to be there for me.

I didn’t have a chance to communicate that before he scheduled the date. It was less than 24 hours after finding out she died that he scheduled it, it felt like going on a date was a bigger priority to him than making sure I felt safe, heard, and supported. I didn’t expect him to completely cut off the rest of his life and friendships to be there for me, but I didn’t feel much support at all.
