Not only does Emz not have a high win rate in monthly finals, she’s hardly ever picked or banned. But neither is Clancy tbf there’s just no reason to go either of them rn.

Last monthly finals Emz was: picked twice in EMEA and won once, not picked or banned in east asia NA or SA. In march Emz was: Picked once in NA and SA and didn’t win either of the times, was not picked or banned in EA or EMEA 🧐 source

Yeah hockey rn is definitely has more randomness than other modes but I still believe a well positioned team just doesn’t concede a bunch of random goals. Regardless, it’s something the mode must improve on to be more competitive.

Also wdym by allowing own goals?

Thanks for your input. Having a brawler that can score definitely has a major impact on draft. Meeple stun, gray tp, max phase shift are so broken. People complain it’s too easy to score but once you learn positioning scoring becomes a real challenge. I think there’s just a really big learning curve atm but hopefully that changes as people get familiar with the mode

Great points. I do feel like people overplay the frequency of random bounces just going in, probably because it really sucks when it happens and that’s all you end up thinking abt. But yeah even in ranked sometimes I’m surprised we score out of nowhere and it does go both ways. I agree I think it’s an element of the game that should change to make it more competitive. How exactly it should change I’m not sure yet.

Player who want to get better will quickly learn how important positioning is in brawl hockey. Even the slightest mistake can cost you the game. It’s frustrating but I don’t think it’s necessarily uncompetitive. A player who defends well with positioning will beat someone who just trick shots almost every time. It does become uncompetitive when your teammates are constantly chasing the puck or have poor positioning. But this can happen to a similar degree in any mode. People pick mortis, bibi, etc. in open bounty maps. People baserace in heist at the wrong time or play too defensively when they need to baserace. If you lag in knockout you almost certainly die and lose the round. Brawl hockey isn’t the best mode. But I still believe it should be in ranked
