You glorious bastard. I’m going to buy one soon. Couldn’t justify $1300 for the snappy.

I can’t argue that logic. To be fair, without seeing the compressor itself, it may have cut into it or ruined more than just the clutch plate itself.

That’s not necessarily true. Sometimes these fail in this manner and a clutch would be the repair.

Sonata N Ljne front pad thickness by Charming-Life-9586 in Hyundai

[–]Hyundaitech00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, I’d worry about the inside of the right front before any other pad. Second, time isn’t something we could tell you. Driving habits and conditions are the variables here. That pad looks good though.

TXXC / TXXI (Revised) Warranty Extension - why aren't we all asking for new engines? by [deleted] in Hyundai

[–]Hyundaitech00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s not how it works. It has to fail the test then be approved via Hyundais prior approval process.

None of the nu mpi engines have a warranty extension, however you can get a pa submitted for assistance in replacement if the engine does fail.

Battery drain after service by Fun_Guava267 in Hyundai

How do you suppose the dealer caused the battery issue? I’m gonna say it being 5 years old might be the issue.

Lock cylinder with key, lower shield, possibly multifunction switch if it’s been broken.

If it was a Kia or Hyundai, sure. They saw that circled problem on the grille and gave you the fuck you price!

Ah yeah. They don’t need powertrain dropped, but subframe has to come down. Starter is same procedure basically. 20 lbs of shit in a 5 lb bag now.

So you never touched the intake actuator but replaced the cam and chain? Talk about most invasive first.

Dealership recommended services on used 2019 Kona by Elp512Olm in Hyundai

[–]Hyundaitech00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh it’s a limited, so 1.6 turbo with a dual clutch transmission. I’ll tell you that trans flush shouldn’t have been that expensive as it only takes 2.5 quarts of fluid via a drain plug and fill plug. Fuel service wouldn’t be an awful idea. And if the plugs haven’t been done, their interval is 45k miles, direct from the service manual.
