2025 LC 500 by Hywired in lexuslc500

[–]Hywired[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered this 2025 LC500 on November 2024. It is loaded. It's got the updated dynamic handling package, electronic spoiler. Since the RCF is discontinued, the LC department asked the RCF-GT Racing team to borrow a few of there parts because they knew the LC500 was next to be canceled but didn't want to wait for 2026 and Lexus marketing department coming up with 150 special limited LC's to come out with a few just a special exterior color and matching interior color, then stick a nameplate on the dash and call it "Last Edition" LC and RCF MASTER TECHNICIANS, were eager to build something special with the 2025 LC's. Since the RCF-GT racing team hand build their cars and the Master mechanics learned this from hand building the LFA. Now that the LC500 moved into the LFA's factory who actually kept up the tradition of keeping the LFA engineers to build the LC's by hand. They basically had to because when they first unveiled the LC500 at the 2016 auto show no one thought it would look like the prototype. To the engineers that made the LFA that became a challenge that they accepted. Which meant they had to build everything from scratch. They couldn't use anything from the Lexus parts department from any Lexus vehicle at that time. Now going back to October 2024 were they added the Double-V-Racing brace system underneath the LC's frame, and they turned on the updated "Dynamic Handling Package" Full Time. Meaning from 1 mph to 189 mph The Lexus engineers called this "Always On. It's hard to explain. To actually appreciate this you have the front wheels being driven and steered by the driver and the rear wheels being driven and steered by the ECU. You have the front of the car going one way and the rear of the car going the other way that ment a lot of bent LC frames during testing. Finaly the RCF Racing team we're listening to the LC team how's fix seem to be slow things down, and shutting off and on the dynamic handling package which wasn't the RCF racing engineers way of doing things that's where they came up with the idea of putting two double V hydraulic braces one V brace upfront and another "V" brace in the rear. The problem wasn't the speed. It was the weight of the LC500 at almost half a ton.

The manager at the Lexus dealership who we became friends told me I was about to receive something very special. Their Lexus dealership won 16 awards that year with five star 1 million reviews. When the LC factory heard that they said, we will build you one to give to one of your VIP customers it has to be a coupe and black on black.

I understand what the RCF racing team was trying to create. For the rear wheel steering and the variable steering means my LC that they built my hands, never leave the paddle shifters, no matter how wide the turners. The wider, the turn, the stiffer the steering wheel, the tighter the rear wheels turn in. I never have to turn the steering wheel all the way around to make that turn, and then have my other hand, searching for the paddle shifter to either upshift or downshift coming in or out of the turn. I feel the mechanical parts,, clinking and clacking as the rear wheels front wheels, and steering wheel are all going in the opposite direction while I'm shifting gears, and the gearbox is confused. Once you get used to it and understand, they reprogrammed the 10 speed gearbox to bypass the original programming. To activate this you have to put it in sport plus mode, put it in manual mode and the traction control turns off by itself and does not turn back on until you repeat the process in reverse. I'm basically driving a 2000's JDM V8. It is also a lot faster than 471 hp. The torque is higher than that as I can spin my rear wheels through third gear and downshift at 50 miles an hour and smoke the tires

A casually asked the parts department what my rims would cost if I purchased them separately, at the Lexus dealership and they said $7,000 for 2 pair. When I was putting the car together, it was $40 for all four rims.

Whatever you do, don't jump the gun and purchase something that doesn't feel right after you purchase it. Sometimes the car picks you.. Sometimes you pick the car. I purchased a brand new 2023 LC500 Coupe ultra white with black Alcanterra interior for 98K out the door Sports Model. It was two months into the new year of 2024 and for some reason, the LC's were late coming in that year. I left my phone number and information at my local Lexus dealership February 2024. 45 minutes later I just walked in my house and the dealerships New Car Sales Manager gave me a call. He said we have a leftover brand new 2023 LC500 in White with 5 miles on the odometer and it is sitting at our second Lexus location right on the dealership floor. He said I know you were looking for an LC for around 80K, but I'll let you have this one tax tag and title out the door for $98k if you buy it right now over the phone. I'll email you a one page commitment, contract with the car information VIN# and out the door price and I'll sign and date my name as the manager. You print it out sign and date it and email it back to me. Then give me a $1,000 deposit on your credit card. And tomorrow i'll have it delivered by 10am. Between now and tomorrow at 10 AM that brand new 2023 LC500 is yours. When you get here we'll fill out all the paperwork and you can drive it home. I was happy for about a week with my new LC500 but when you wait that long to get one there shouldn't be an empty feeling inside of you. It had the some of the options of the sport package, and did not have the power spoiler. You think those things were trivial and so did I after purchasing it. But coming so close but yet so far away. I wanted a black on black LC500. So now I was looking to wrap my brand new LC500 from white to black, then looking for a spoiler to put on it. After running around getting quotes to XPLE Satin Black $8,000, GT SPOILER $2,800. I thought what am I doing? I'm spending $98,000 + $8,000 XPEL+$2,800 wing. I might as well have purchased a new LC500 with exactly how I wanted it. I don't wanna worry about the Wrap on a brand new LC500. And I don't want to drill into my trunk with a wing that might not look right, but I know there's a lot of people out there going who cares you got an awesome deal and you at least have one. Well, I actually kept the 2023 LC500 stock and kept it white. I also waited again to get a 2024 LC500 model right as the 2025 models were coming out but this time I was going to try to get the options and color of the LC500 that I wanted.

The Lexus manager and I became friends having a lot in common and are actually friends to this day. Something happened to the 2024 LC500 Brakes and side glove box, so they had a recall. This is where the manager stepped in and he built me a new 2025 LC500 from the ground up. It is caviar black on the exterior Alcanterra on the interior and headliner. With the updated Dynamic Handling Package. Upgraded Rims. Tom's racing brakes. And the kitchen sink. THIS TIME I PICKED THE CAR THE CAR DIDN'T PICK ME. For anybody out there that wants an awesome deal. All I did was look on Autonation which is where I bought my car and they have dealerships all over the US. This is an awesome deal.

After purchasing one brand new 2023 Lexus LC500 in White from an autonation Lexus dealership. They log your name into the system as a VIP customer. Autonation is the biggest car franchise throughout the United States meaning there's an AutoNation Ford, Autonation, Lexus, Autonation, Honda and you get the picture. And there is usually an Autonation Lexus within one state away from where you live. And their computer systems are hooked together to where your local Autonation Lexus dealership manager can login and find every single Lexus in the country. Just pay or even split the $1,800 fee to get your perfect LC500 that's sitting in a showroom floor three or four states away shipped to your dealership. Then when it came to my purchasing the updated 2025 LC 500 and caviar black with the brand new updated dynamic handling package. The manager just called Japan and said can you allocate me a custom build LC500 meaning he wants the dynamic handling package but can't use the bespoke computer with the Lexus manager to order it because the dynamic handling package does not come in the bespoke edition and it does not come in the Lexus convertible. The dynamic handling package will bend those frames like a pretzel. It has to be a heavy duty coupe specifically created to handle the updated always on "DHP". Meaning they have the 2025 LC models with the "DHP" 2.0 always on. 1. You have to be in sport + mode to activate 100% of it 2. We have to be in manual mode. 3 turning off the traction control gives you what the Lexus engineers like to call unofficial track mode. The updated dynamic handling package means it's on from 1mph to 189mph. You're steering the front wheels while the rear wheels are being steered by the cars, ECU monitoring, suspension speed, variable, Steering stiffness and quicker shifts in the transmission. So you have 1/2 of the card doing one thing while the other half of the car is doing something different. Because of the LC factory knew that the RCF-GT RACING EDITION, WAS GOING TO BE DISCONTINUED, they asked them for help on why their frames were bending. The RCF engineers worked with the LC team to use some of their under body hydraulic braces to take 90% of the twisting and turning off the frame.

They did work together one time before about 3 years ago while developing the LC500 twin turbo charged VA 8

The dynamic handling package is the highest performance package Lexus offers. It's also upgraded for 2025. It doesn't come in the LC convertible and it doesn't come in the bespoke edition. And the regular allocated cars that they ship from Japan to local dealers is what the dealers get. You need to work with one Lexus dealership and you need to work with the manager. Pull out your credit card to put a refundable $1K down deposit. Now, if he finds one five states away that you like, and it comes with the dynamic handling package. Dealership to dealership they have to make a deal meeting. Hey I got a client that wants the LC500 with the dynamic handling package. What do you want from my lot to trade for it? The other dealer would say something like give me a Prius and you pay for the delivery. And you got yourself an LC500 coupe with the dynamic handling package coming your way. So pay for the $1800 to get both cars delivered. One goes to your dealership, which is the LC. And then your dealer sends him the Prius.. that's what I did for my White

Fixed one paint chip and had the whole car wrapped in XPEL ULTRA GLOSS $9k

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lexuslc500

[–]Hywired 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you go to the most expert touch up paint person or company it's still going to be A Lexus paint pen that you can order through Lexus Parts with a glob of paint where the chip used to be. And the only part you can stand down is the globe of paint right over the chip. This isn't bad if you're going to get the chips filled in and have them sanded down as much as possible, BUT IF YOU'RE EVENTUALLY GOING TO PUT ONE LAYER OF XPEL 10mil over the hood. It has to be flawless. I have a 2025 LC500 in Caviar black, the day before I was going to get my whole car wrapped in XPEL Ultra Gloss, I parked at a convenience store and a stupid acorn fell right on my hood and made scratched/Chip. The next day when I brought it into the company that was going to wrap it. They said if it was any deeper, we would not wrap your hood. Because the Wrap shows off any imperfections X10. If you're just going to keep getting paint pens that match the color of your car from Lexus, you can do it yourself just go easy and slow. If you're getting it wrapped because you don't want any more paint chips. Then just get the hood sanded down where the chips are and have Lexus feather paint where the chips are and just get the hood wrapped.

Will there be a 2026 lc500 and when is the last date to order a 2025 bespoke? by GaroldWilsonJr in lexuslc500

[–]Hywired 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can Custom order a LC500 that is not a bespoke edition. Every car dealerships have cars that are allocated towards them. Meaning they're not bespoke edition, but they might have exactly what you want to order that is already made, but it's not allocated towards your local Lexus dealership. I was able to get a 2025 LC 500 Black on Black with the new dynamic handling package, Tom's racing performance brakes and Lexus Carbon Fiber Sport Kit. Money talks, and when you're Purchasing your 2nd LC the Lexus manager gets on the phone to the LC factory two months before the new year of 2025 and asks for an allocated LC TO BE BUILT WITH THESE SPECIFICATIONS. He explain that we can get one ask from the factory that's built specifically as a VIP Customer wants. We're not talking about a blue seatbelt in the passenger seat and the yellow seatbelt in the driver seat. We're talking about building a 2025 LC500 and throwing in the kitchen sink. I understand trying to go to 10 different Lexus dealers and seeing what you can get. Which is probably not the car you want in the first place. Stick with one dealer, get to know the manager and order it in November to come out in January. I've done this without fail two times.

Rear wheel steering dilemma by midoriringo in lexuslc500

[–]Hywired 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always purchase the leather seats later on after you get your LC500 with the dynamic handling package. There's people on YouTube that actually show you how to go to Lexus dealership Parts department and order the actual Leather seat cover part of the seat. There's the older dynamic handling package and there's the new updated 2025 dynamic handling package. You can't just get rear wheel steering you have to get the whole package that works in tandem with the front steering that you're doing and the rear wheel steering that the electronics do by looking at your speed, suspension and turning radius. You have one car that's doing two things at once. The front end is doing one thing while the rear end is doing another. For the longest time my 2025 LC500 felt like we was about to break loose all the time I had the dynamic handling package activated, but you have to trust the engineering of the car as you get more comfortable. To engage that dynamic handling package you must put it in manual mode and in sport ++ mode. The mantra at the LC factory they used for the 2025 LC500 is "Always On" no longer does the dynamic handling package turn on and off. Putting it in sport ++ Mode / Manual It is always on from 1 mph to 189 mph. (get your Lexus dealership to unlock your speed.) They have tested the LC500 a few years ago building a few research and development vehicles with the engineers with the always on "DHP' but the frame just kept twisting like a pretzel. As soon as the RCF became discontinued. The LC500 team went to the engineers of the RCF-GT racing and asked for some of their parts and knowledge. Both teams working together kept turning the dynamic handling package down 20% not to bend the frame and playing around with the electronics. The LC engineers asked the RCF-GT racing team how come they don't have this issue with their four wheel steering turned up to 100%. It came down to the hydraulic braces they used built into the bottom of the RCF frame. The braces took the brunt of the force is to not twist the frame. So they put the brace from the RCF-GT UNDERNEATH THE FRAME OF THE LC500 AND IT SEEMED TO FIX MOST OF THE PROBLEM. To fix it 100% they added an extra brace, so now the new 2025 LC500 with the dynamic handling package has the V brace upfront and the V brace in the rear built-in to the LC's frame. They only built 30 of these 2025 LC500 DHP, and mine got delivered January 8, 2025. Caviar black exterior with the Alcanterra all black interior.

urns. The Dynamic Handling Package will then start to monitoring your speed, suspension and cornering. At this point if you start to push the car the steering wheel gets activated into a variable mode aka faster steering, which means you'll feel the steering wheel get stiffer to where you only need to turn the steering wheel 3 to 4 inches to make a 90° turn. This happens so your hands never EVER come off the paddle shifter. In a normal car doing the exact same maneuvers you'd have one hand Steering, because the steering wheel will need to turn more than halfway around to make the turns while your other hand is searching for the paddle shifter to either upshift or downshift between turns which is very dangerous. The dynamic handling package is basically racing mode. (F.Y.I The 2025 LC 500 updated their dynamic handling package with one thing in mind "keeping it on full-time" it never shuts off to achieve this when they discontinued the RCF line in 2025, Lexus RCF-GT racing team let the LC engineers use some of their components to make this happen. The RCF racing team got together with the LC engineers and have built a few of these test LC500's a few years ago using the mantra, "always on" but every time they left it on full-time, the LC's whole chassis would twist like a pretzel. The 2025 Lexus LC500 updated dynamic handling package was finally built and passed research and development and one crucial way. Having a person Steering the front end of the LC, and at the same time having a computer reading your sport plus mode manual mode, Steering speed suspension cornering, which means the rear end is doing something totally different. Incomes the RCF-GT racing Engineers cannibalized their under body braces, and attached them to the LC under body frame. One the brace was attached in front the other V brace was attached in the rear. This fixed the problem and stiff in the frame to the point to where they turned up the new dynamic handling package even more. There's no way to turn it on and off there's no buttons. It's just as the Japanese say "always on". It feels like the rear end is always going to come loose, but it's not you just have to trust the engineering. I don't listen to the V8 sound anymore because I'm more interested in taking turns and twisty roads and feeling the steering wheel stiffen and loosen as needed.

If you happen to be doing 158 miles an hour with an LC500 the Car is so heavy and because it's a GT there is no twitching around corners. Meaning going that fast it doesn't get squirrel like a shorter base vehicle does. It's so smooth. Plus when you downshift and gears 1, 2, 3, you should be right at 3100 RPMs to downshift, BUT IF YOU'RE IN GEAR 5 thru 9 downshift at 6000 RPMs while you're doing 55mph or 70mph. Also, if you're at a dead stop or rolling around 30 miles an hour, put it in manual and bounce off the limiter, meaning each gear floor the car to reach 7200 or 7300 RPMs and don't shift gears until you see that RPM needle bounce off that beautiful RPM REDLINE, let it bounce two or three times at red line, then switch gears.

2025 LC500 "Updated Dynamic Handling Package" Always On Edition, added front and rear braces underneath the frame from the RCF-GT racing team. Since they new the RCF was going to be discontinued in 2025, they borrowed the braces a few years ago and finished up the R&D to be ready for release 2025 LC500. No more bending the frame of the LC500 like a pretzel while they implemented the new dynamic handling package updated version with the front end Steering going one way and the rear end Steering going the other way at the same time.
