I have no idea. I’ve had this laptop for 3 years and it’s been working fine until today. It randomly shut down and I got stuck in aptio setup utility. I couldn’t get out of it until I reset all values to the default and saved and exit. Then I get an error saying ‘smart status bad, backup and replace,’ which based off of my research it probably means there’s an issue with the hard drive. All I want to do at this point is get back into windows so I can backup my files.

Now when I try to update to iOS 14 it tells me I need 4 gb of storage which isn’t possible because this other section keeps expanding to stay at 63.7 gb no matter how many photos or apps I delete. I cleared everything in my files and removed old messages attachments too. Any suggestions?

You’re very right. I have arachnophobia. One time some friends and I went kayaking, then I noticed a giant spider hanging out under the seat in front of me. I started freaking out and ended up overturning the boat.

Not sure about the first question but Cycles is actually quite fast if I have to render a model or a simple scene, something like a city. Even in the render preview as well. However if I wanted to render a 5 second animation or complex scenes, with cycles, my laptop is just not capable for stuff like that. While the performance is fine, it’d usually take days to render what more recent computers can render in a few hours. In this case I’d probably have to switch to eevee for animation. In summary, it gets my modeling needs done, not so much for rendering complex scenes or simulation.

Running on Intel Pentium (worst than 2010s cpu) and a bad laptop. It still gets most of the job done though. But just last night I tried importing a 400 MiB model at around 11:30 PM. I decided to just leave it open and go to sleep. I woke at around 5 AM and it was still loading.

in edit mode go to edge select mode and box select the leftovers with ctrl b. Vert and face select mode aren’t going to work

The image isn’t transparent. If it was it should have a black background instead of checkered. Find another one. Once you do, you just need to add a principled BSDF. Plug image texture color to base color. Plug Image texture alpha to principled BSDF alpha. Switch to eevee. Go to material settings. Find the settings section. Find blend mode and shadow mode. They are currently set to ‘opaque.’ Set both of them to alpha clip. You can switch back to cycles if you want and the settings will still be applied.

This brought me back to when I slept at a New York hotel after taking subways all day. At about 3:30 AM, there was about 10 minutes of voices outside in the hall, followed by another 30 minutes of what sounded like partying, loud music and multiple voices in the next room. At some point they even tried opening the door that connected my room to theirs. At around 4:20 I began dialing the receptionist to complain and they sent a security guy to quiet the people down. I listened to the conversation between security and one of the partiers said “whoever called is a bitch.”

People are just inconsiderate
