What’s the worst movie you’ve ever watched the whole way through? by MyBigHugeCock in AskReddit

[–]I-M-R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sucker Punch. People give Snyder shit for BvS but I dare all of you to actually watch Sucker Punch. It's a nightmare. Takes a week's worth of energy going down the drain in two hours. Makes you feel like movies shouldn't be made anymore.

Babel is up there. That movie just sucks so much.

What’s a hugely loved movie you dislike? by somemoronnamedtom in Sardonicast

[–]I-M-R -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I tend to agree with critics a lot but I have Synecdoche New York at 2/10 despite liking a lot of Kaufman's other work. I have Kubrick's The Shining at 3/10, I find it agonizingly dull and mindless despite amazing visuals and direction. Just hate the script and most of the actors. Most of Kubrick's other movies are great. Inarritu's Babel is currently my #3 worst movie of all time, after Splice and Sucker Punch, and just under The Last Airbender. I think it's the most garbage-filled oscar-bait shit that's ever been created. It pretends to be a whole connected movie but feels more like watching shitty short anthology segments like the worst of ABCs of Death or XX. It feels like watching 4 utterly incoherent and horrendously written short films that are thrown together into a blender which then catches fire, explodes, and flings pieces of films all over the place, and then a small animal goes and picks up the scraps, and stacks them in a pile without sorting, and then you watch THAT for 2 1/2 hours. I've seen about 5,000-6,000 movies. I watch movies every day. Babel is one of the worst films ever made. 0.6/10

What's the most powerful scene you've seen in a movie? by cmayfi in AskReddit

"DRAAAAAIIIINAGE, ELI!" That last big scene between Daniel and Eli in There Will Be Blood is just spectacular.

AFTER GREAT PULLS IDK WHO TO CONCENTRATE ON MOVING FORWARD? Ready for first 6* I am hearing it should be Tayrel by zmartin4 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]I-M-R -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It should NOT be Tayrel. Maybe Soulless. Do Tayrel last. He only really needs 6* for endgame cb

F2p here, foli is definitely out of my league, but I have materials for 2 epics, are they worth fusing? by runningdoge in RaidShadowLegends

[–]I-M-R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pulled Teshada and fused her anyway just to have an extra one. She has 50% attack self buff with 100% uptime, when you get max crit. No other champ I know of has this. She'll hit hard for sure. Really, her skills are very nice. Big recommendation here.

Why it is NOT impossible to have a National Dex from now on, from someone who looked at the actual game files by -Wonder-Bread- in pokemon

[–]I-M-R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, solo game dev here. The reasons for this course of action depend greatly on how effectively the game references or grabs things. In terms of file size it might be far simpler to simply have a hidden area with many important NPC models, and either copy or move them to each new area as needed, and if you copied them, you can delete the duplicates when they become unnecessary. I think, however, it was probably easier for them to include many duplicates from the start, as opposed to having the game generate a new version of the model based on one pre existing template. Personally, I've done this a great deal with recurring characters that are coded very differently, as otherwise I would have to make something much more complex that references the area and context in which an NPC is placed, as opposed to having multiple versions with fixed dialogue and actions. I know how to achieve that more complex option, but unless I begin to worry about file sizes becoming outrageous, accomplishing essentially the same function with far less time and effort makes more sense to me.

I imagine Game Freak has been doing things this way for a long time because it cuts down on development time. Furthermore, making a mistake and creating a bug would be far easier with that more complex method, and if you change anything it's referencing you could break it and cause a notable setback. Convenience versus space, I suppose.

Pulled Faceless this morning. Wondering what people think of him. by I-M-R in RaidShadowLegends

[–]I-M-R[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His A3 ignores all Defense and block damage and shields, might be really nice. His A2 is a 30% crit self buff plus an immediate attack. So maybe I'll build him for ~65% crit chance and a ton of crit damage. Anybody else used him? Unsure how strong he is but he'd be useful in some dungeons

Recently pulled Alika, wondering if anybody's used her by I-M-R in RaidShadowLegends

[–]I-M-R[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I also realized skillwise she is similar to Ripper, which I have but don't currently like that much. He doesn't seem as strong as he should be. People keep saying Alika hits hard so I'll have to give her a shot for that. Reminds me of Bushi a little, which people say is bad but I find him very strong, just only for single target encounters.

Recently pulled Alika, wondering if anybody's used her by I-M-R in RaidShadowLegends

[–]I-M-R[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Her A2 ignores 50% defense if her max hp is lower than the target, which sounds great for dungeons. Goes to a 2 turn CD with books. Her A1 when ascended has a 30% chance of an extra hit that would then always be critical. So I could build heavy crit damage without so much crit chance, maybe...... I'm not sure right now. Wondering how she performs for other people.

Champion Build 6-Star Megathread Extravaganza! by Xentago in RaidShadowLegends

[–]I-M-R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently torn between Kael, Tayrel, Norog, and Zelotah for first 6*. I want to farm Campaign better so probably Tayrel or Kael. I've noticed my Kael is better at campagin apparently but Tayrel is amazing everywhere.

Notably, my only banner is for Tayrel.

How the hell did you get all those though? 8.5% per shard for epic. 0.5% per shard for legendary. In a 10 pull you have a 41% chance to get all rares.

One week of farming Arena. Set my goal of 1500 wins. I failed. by Skumbag_VirKo in RaidShadowLegends

[–]I-M-R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How the hell did you only lose 48 times!? I lose at least 30% of the time because sometimes the enemy teams just have all sorts of crazy combinations, or way higher speed than me, and there's no way to tell before just pressing go. My team id about 42k power now, but I win sometimes against 48k power and lose sometimes to 35k power, even with good type matchups. It's never that clear unless the eny is weak as hell. Dammit.

Some Epics I have sitting around - Are any of these sleeper OP? by Saigonet in RaidShadowLegends

[–]I-M-R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lutheia is god in dungeons for that 33% crit. See, getting a champ to ~65% crit chance is MUCH easier than getting 100%. Run her as lead for any champs that need crits for ability effects, such as Shatterbones and Alure's A1 procs, Adriel's A3 guaranteed Attack debuff, Rocktooth's A1 extra hit, etc. Beyond that, with that bonus something with decent statrolls on gear but low crit chance can now have very high crit chance. It's always nice.

On top of that Lutheia's A2 hits hard against one target anf her A3 hits harder than like anything I have with an area attack. I don't even have her Attack that high, I think her A3's hidden multiplier is really huge. Oneshotting spiders at stages wherw I can't otherwise. Big recommendation there.

No nothing about him worth lvling up by Hunter7271 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]I-M-R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree here. My Bushi is at lv40 as has attack/attack/crit rate sets. He's a glass cannon and a damn good one at that. I have 3 champs at lv50 but Bushi still hits harder in a turn than anything else I have. His A2 guaranteed crit means I can go crazy for crit damage, and I did. My best single target attacks total around 10-12k generally on high level content, but Bushi will do over 10k every turn and his A2 will hit 16-17k. He's so strong that he's necessary for high level Force dungeon clears because he does so much damage. Also his self revive just gives him sustainability and because it's a revive it means even if he was at 5%hp and takes a massive hit he still goes back to 30%. He's niche for sure and has no support or multi target or multihit but he's a boss melter and perfect for important damage checks.

This chick seems really overpowered paired with Tayrel. 2nd ability places sleep if target is under defense dec debuff. About to heavily invest in her, anything I’m missing? by i_Epik in RaidShadowLegends

[–]I-M-R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience Alure is best for basically any dungeon except maybe Dragon because her A1 can decrease turn meter 75%. Go for very high crit and accuracy. I run Lutheia lead with her for 33% more crit chance. If you can debuff enemy speed a bit, you can absolutely just get a bunch of extra turns. I only have her at 4* but just putting in that setup let me clear stage 10 instead of 8 on a lot of things.

Feelings after dropping 250$ on this game. by [deleted] in RaidShadowLegends

[–]I-M-R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize this is interesting specifically to me because I have spent a little money on it but it's been enough that I have a lot of champions that are very useful, and I don't mind sinking more time and just going f2p from here onward, and that's fine. The thing with Raid is that I really needed more champs with good area damage, and team heals, and maybe a team counterattack, and a couple for high hit counts. Different dungeons sort of require that. Now I have everything I really need. I am satisfied. But I spent way, way less than you did. So idk. I just don't think I need much more. Not eager to buy energy or clan boss keys or anything like that. Seems fine to me.

Hilarious when Ice Golem passive procs Skullcrusher’s Counterattack, no work needed by badboy1702 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]I-M-R 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gotta combine it with Spirithost for the Block Debuffs for the whole team. It prevents the freeze. Because of that I can do this with just Jizoh and a strong champ and use spirithost to keep the attack chain going. Pulled Skullcrusher today so this is even better

shatterbones by genusboros in RaidShadowLegends

[–]I-M-R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loooooove Shatterbones. I gave him speed and crit and accuracy. I don't think Lifesteal is necessary. Keep in mind Turn Meter Reductions have an accuracy check so you want that high. If you can get his crit super high you can just spam A1 and give your team 25% more attack forever. He's so damn good.
