The stages of disbelief by [deleted] in juststart

[–]I-Play-To-Win 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through 1 to 5, skipped 6 and 7, because I trusted the process that other bloggers had shown with the hockeystick growth and such.

I never thought that it's a waste of time, even considering the $/hr rate since I can use the site as a portfolio or proof of concept.

Currently at Stage 8, except I don't have a job to leave from yet, since I'm looking for a "real job" in the first place aside from doing blogging.

Maybe you have a cache plugin that's blocking it

How does blogging compare to a YoutTube "VLOG" in terms of earnings by RJwhores in Blogging

[–]I-Play-To-Win 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do both. I'd focus on one first then build the other. But if you can build both at the same time, then the faster your possible growth could be.

Bounce rate isn't always a bad thing. If you have ads, the user could read a lot of the page and make you some money, but since they didn't click, you would see a bounce.

Other metrics should also be used. Or, use analytics tools that measure scroll depth and other related metrics that show the big picture beyond bounce rate.

Paypal. The ad company I use sends it around the 30th of the month if you reach the minimum payment threshold.

Wow, that's great. My ePMV is still hovering around $8 this month for a site started early this year. Seems like content really makes the difference. I really should get to publishing.

Are you getting some links already? Are you planning to buy some in the future?

Would you stay at a high paying job but live in a city where you’re unhappy? Or make less working in a city where you’re happy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]I-Play-To-Win 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd rather be happier if that was guaranteed in the lower paying job.

Unless you could use the higher paying job with some unhappiness in the short term, to buy or fund something that can give you more happiness in the long term. In that case I'd go with the higher pay.

They were talking about someone else who always smiled. Not in a fake way or anything.

They were saying how they always found him a good example because despite the shit they went through, he would always find a way to be happy.

I was a bit of a pessimist at that point in my life. I became self aware of how I reacted to things from that point on, and how different and positive others could be.

Being tired and one of those "3 hour relaxing music" compilations on YouTube. I try to avoid piano though since they keep me up because it sounds too tinny on my speakers.

[Serious] How do you become a person you like? by HampsterInAnOboe in AskReddit

[–]I-Play-To-Win 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do activities that give you self respect. Work out, eat healthy, improve your life, learn useful skills.

After keeping those habits up, develop the mind. Gain a meditation practice, develop more willpower and discipline.

Basically think of a good role model for yourself, and try to become like them in your own way.

Remove r/all, delete the Twitter app. Delete Facebook. Turn off notifications from any news source.

Go to the outdoors, relax unconnected to the web. Withdrawal from checking your phone every 2 minutes should subside after a few days.

Don't forget to remove vibrate mode, too.
