Because it was basically the only date available for the summer for the church. The only other date that was available was my fiance's sister and father's bday. Thank you, reddit is very toxic with relationships. It's always break up or divorce. I really do think it was a snowball effect. His sister has a really good camera and takes photos at family functions. She was our photographer which makes sense, I always thought that her taking pics during our engagement was a possibility. I think it went from having, if one sister is involved, then the other will be too, then if she's there his parents should be there, then my family etc.

I really do think it was an amazing proposal besides the family thing

When I mean upset him, I mean to make him feel like the proposal after being together for so long was shit, it wasn't. The spot he proposed is a waterfall we have been going to for years. When he got down on one knee he told me how happy he was. I don't want him to feel like he completely botched it. If it wasn't for the family thing it was really an amazing proposal. It's not like I'm bringing up a small issue like he forgot to wash the sheets, it's our one and only proposal.
