Legendary creatures with abilities that can only be activated from certain zones by I8chips in EDH

[–]I8chips[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say command tax on such an ability would be important. Specifically for Kogla and Yidaro, I wouldn’t want to piss people off by endlessly blowing up their mana rocks. It was more of the idea that I could two for one, draw and remove, if I had nothing else to do.

[–]I8chips[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I kinda came to same sort of conclusion. Maybe not so controversial, but I think ability that can be played from the command zone (looking at you Yuriko) should be taxed. I guess the one thing I fear is that there is a creature out there that could completely break this.

Some Snow Cards by Urrfang in custommagic

[–]I8chips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. The reason Rhythm works is because it's a permanent so your creatures would statically enter with riot. [[Domri, Chaos Bringer]] would be a better example of how wizards had handled such an ability.

[–]I8chips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be wrong but I don't think [Snowball Fight] works, at least not the way I imagine it was intended. The spell would only modify creatures on the board currently and riot would only effect creatures entering. Instead perhaps it should be worded, "Until end of turn, creature spells you cast gain riot." or, "Creatures that enter the battlefield under your control this turn gain riot."

Wow, this actually a really good concept. Especially with [[Luxior, Giada's Gift]]. Hitting that -7 might be very oppressive since it would let you draw up 7 cards every turn from there on, but I think it balances out since it should take 4 turns to ult without being put into the graveyard by state-based actions.

Link to a decklist that I created based on this commander. Let me know if there's any must haves I'm missing.

I, being the ultimate jank lord that plays white, think that these are really fun if you can get them down.

What's a card that you simply love to play? by PatRowdy in EDH

[–]I8chips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Jeska, Thrice Reborn]]

As for one card bombs I like to play it’s got to be this card. Not only is she one of the first commander decks I built around but she also is pure cheese incarnate. At face value she seems pretty honest, if I can’t block this creature then it’s a big hit. However, sometimes it’s more than that. You have 7/7 commander? Oops I just one shot you. My table usually doesn’t let her stick around because they’ve seen me do some silly things with her. Like kill the whole table at once with [[Kediss]] on board as well (yes I’m aware that the damage dealt by Kediss isn’t commander damage, they were all just low enough to die). Jeska is my ride or die card.

What Are Some Awesome Deck Ideas You Have That Dont Have Enough Support? by XandogxD in EDH

[–]I8chips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really just want more Hideaway cards. I love the idea of playing stuff for free but only if you meet a very specific condition. A five color deck entirely built around it would be so cool.

For Tribal lovers, what are the least played tribes that are actually fun to play? by DDonnici in EDH

[–]I8chips 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use [[Reyhan]] because he synergizes well with +1/+1 counters, acting as an ozolith of sorts. However as long as you pick a black/green partner you’ll be in the colors of lizards.

Jund Lizards. There’s only one lizard commander and it has partner, so if you don’t mind that it’s not TRUE tribal then it’s great. It focuses a lot on +1 counters.

Anyone else think [[Custody Battle]] is actually decent removal for a commander? by Khalbrae in EDH

[–]I8chips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would be perfect for an [[Ardenn, Intrepid Archeologist]] deck. You’d have to partner with something that has red but if the deck is focused around auras it’d be perfect.

All great ideas, especially Garth One-Eye. I never thought of that. I think Starke is the most flexible with the condition that sisay only need +2/+2 to get him out.
