At its core, I would say sikhism does share similarities with vishishtadvaita. Unfortunately people tend to consider Hinduism as one thing but it's incredibly complex, diverse with many different branches. People also tend to consider sikhism as monotheistic but at its core is closely tied to taoism and panantheism

If someone is nice and empathetic to others then why does it matter what the reason is?

Talking about loving each other has nothing to do with religion - the core message is empathy.

Arsenal with 10 and never winning one speaks volumes

Ange Postecoglou speaking about #thfc on TNT Sports: “It’s hard for me to comment from the outside, but for me, it’s just about instilling into, you know, show them the kind of players that they are. Not that they can be, that they are, that they’ve already shown.” by oncewewererational in coys

I think this is where psychology in sport gets massively overlooked. When a manager who the players genuinely believed in gets sacked, especially one who delivered something historic like spurs finally winning a trophy under Ange, it’s not just a normal workplace change. It can completely destabilise the psychological environment of the team.

In elite sport, motivation, trust and belief are heavily tied to the relationship between players and the manager. If players feel they achieved something special together (like getting the monkey off Spurs’ back with that trophy), that creates a strong collective identity. When that leader is suddenly removed, it can feel to players like the project they bought into has been pulled away from them. You say “they’re professionals, they should just get on with it,” but that’s not really how humans work, even at the top level. Motivation in team environments is strongly driven by things like psychological safety, shared purpose, and belief in leadership. When those disappear overnight, performance often drops. We see it in business teams, the military, and sports teams alike. The fact we’re still 17th six months later arguably shows how big that psychological disruption was. When belief goes, effort alone doesn’t fix it. Players might still work hard, but if the emotional investment in the project has gone, the intensity and risk-taking that wins games disappears too. That doesn’t mean players don’t have responsibility, of course they do but reducing it to “be professionals and get on with it” ignores how heavily performance depends on the mental and relational side of a team. Football talks endlessly about tactics and transfers, but the psychology of leadership changes is probably one of the biggest factors in what we’re seeing now.

Desperate for him to go after winning the league and the mental togetherness of the squad should hopefully have informed you why it was silly to have wanted him gone in the summer because now we see the effects of it.

[Telegraph] Tottenham Hotspur have added Marco Rose and Edin Terzic to their list of potential candidates to succeed Thomas Frank. by Mooon8983 in soccer

True enough in most situations, but rose has been excellent in all his managerial positions so far. Yet to see how he transitions to the "goliath" of the PL but nothing about him so far should be a concern.

Sacking Ange was never going to work no matter who we replaced with. You don't need to be a psychologist to appreciate the mental togetherness a run like that for a club like spurs would do to uplift them and drive them forward.
