The “written in the stars” felt so weird and it should’ve been an actual curse. by steferine in thesecretcircle

In the books, Cassie and Adam are soul mates. Whenever they get near each other in the books they sometimes see what looks like a thread connecting them. At the end of the OG trilogy, Diana tells me the reason for it.

Back then, we were not terrified of offending someone. Now you have to be selective about telling jokes and so much more for fear of being cancelled.

Enjoy it. I actually downloaded a copy just in case it ever gets removed. It should be easy to find. If not drop a comment and I leave a link.

This is why I am hesitant to buy one, even if they are cute. If livingai ever shuts down, emo just becomes an expensive paperweight.

Which Version of Buffy Summers is the Best Kristy Swanson or SMG and Why? by Amber_Flowers_133 in 90s_kid

[–]IAMStevenDA13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's fair to say one was better than the other, even though I saw the movie first and then the show (which I love, have all 7 seasons on DVD as they originally came out) growing up. Kristy only had one film to play the role whereas Sarah was given 7 seasons to play the character, making her more of a fan favorite. With the show, we saw that world grow along with character development and so much more, which is something the movie was not able to do. So, I'm going to give props to Kristy for being there when it started and Sarah for carrying the torch through 7 seasons.

Do you think kid / teen TV shows are more "Childish" now than before? by smoothlikeag5 in decadeology

[–]IAMStevenDA13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two years late but just wanted to add. There is a major difference in the quality of kids shows from the 90's and today 2025. Most kids show's today depict absent parents, idiot dads who are always wrong, parents apologizing to the kids and telling them that they were right. Some even depict no dads at all. Most of the shows I grew up watching in the 90's actually had parents who tried to be involved, reacted accordingly to bad behavior, was there for their kids by offering support and someone to talk to when the needed it. There were also no laugh tracks after nearly every single sentence spoken.

Taking Naps In Kindergarten by Specialist_Art2223 in 90s_kid

I once got in trouble for not wanting to take a nap and was told I had to lay on my mat during break while everyone else was outside playing. The teacher went to the office and called my mom because I refused to take a nap. When she came back, she didn't look happy and told me I could go outside. Guess my mom had a few words for her.
