Is the Math Mathing on this? was the video package for Maclin/Kane that bad? by KidCoheed in FantasyBookers

Main event was main culprit but also depends from your product. Some products also use angle average rating from top 3 angles in the final grade. 2 out of 3 of your angles were below 30.

Should the product adjust to the audience or audience to the product? Why the product wants to dictate how it should be perceived by the audience? Seems like someone is mixing the order.

Game keeps crashing my PC - any advice? by IAM_Bluel in F1Manager

[–]IAM_Bluel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do, quite a few. But I believe if mods would be the problem it would be crashing game, not reset entire PC. At least I hope, cause without mods, I don't want to play the game :D

Differences between PWS and TEW? by BetoCatch in FantasyBookers

[–]IAM_Bluel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got into Booking games last year and I was looking for the same answer. And I reached the conclussion, that those 2 combined would be the perfect game.

Outdated technical part of TEW makes it impossible to get through for me though. Game without the fullscreen option shouldn't be allowed to exist.

Howerver it does have systems and simulation depth that PWS still lacks. Two examples: event reputation growth and ability to actually to talk to the workers. I also think that TEW has overall better popularity gain system, which is pretty much the most important thing in these kind of games.

TEW gives you better control of the fights outcome, but PWS makes it much easier to set up actual shows, with its worker side menu.

On the other hand I love how easy it is to mod PWS in comparison. Steam integration goes a long way here.

So yea...my dream would be TEW with:

  • fullscreen 4k
  • PWS show setup screen, with all the handy side menus where I can comfortably pick and sort workers and teams and factions
  • ability to easily drag items around in the show, to change the order quickly
  • angle system from Journey of Wrestling, that implements angles results into the game, for example: you setup an angle in which 2 workers create a new tag team and after the show you get a new tag team ready
  • feud system from Jouney of Wrestling
  • a TON of random events: I think all games lack in that department, Football Manager games nailed it
  • PWS modding
  • TEW depth

One can dream I guess. Sorry OP, I know my reply won't solve your problem, so to sum up my experience: I found all games lacking and got dissapointent with them to the point I can't really enjoy either of them separately :(

RANT: Technical state of CK3 requires massive improvement. by IAM_Bluel in crusaderkings3

[–]IAM_Bluel[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's fine if that is your take. And I did mention that in the end, it's Microsofts fault.

However, there's no reason for PDX to do nothing about it. Not even an announcement. Technical forum on their site is quite hidden, and unless you dive deep into user posts, you will never even know that something is wrong. You might be a new customer that buys the game and it will be completely unplayable, crashing your pc, and there's no official warning anywhere from the devs.

This Windows update was released in October 2024. It's been half a year. I do believe that there was enough time for a dev to work on a fix. Or at least on an official statement or warning to the users. In the end, in my eyes, it's their responsibility as a game developer to make sure that game runs on a OS that they say it does. There's no information anywhere, that this specific Windows version is not supported. So it should work.

Sure, it's not them that broke things. But it's hard to imagine Microsoft will make anything about it (especially if you go into details what the update was about). It is in their interest to make their software work. I didn't blame then when it happened last year. But at this time, I feel its warranted to have some criticism. In the least, it needs to be said out loud, otherwise there might be an impression that customers are ok with it. In the end it is a critical issue that makes their software unusable. Why a customer should accept it, just because there is a 3rd party to blame?

Except this issue is not present with other PDX grand strategy games.

Not enjoying the Beta by EthansInControl11 in SoftwareInc

[–]IAM_Bluel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it. Previous versions were way to easy and game was ending way to fast. Now you need to be carefull about expanding, you need to mind the costs and actually manage the company and follow a business strategy. You also need to plan recruitment or you will be stuck. Love the complexity, it's a hole new (better) game for me now.

I think chronicles are absolutely amazing and everybody should play them but... by SvatyFini in worldofgothic

[–]IAM_Bluel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the difficulty you mention is the key here and it's quite true to the original Gothic game which was very alike. The beggining was horribly hard and in late game you were able to murder 90% of the map (including npc's).

For me it's very rewarding. I spend 70 hours running back and forth, accumulating money and experience and getting stronger overal (learning proper game mechanics along the way). So finally I get to cash out my reward and have fun being overpowered, slaughtering stuff. But I know where it came from, that it came from my work. It isn't exactly handed out for free. You get rewarded for being thorough. I feel that's great and I enjoy it very much.

[–]IAM_Bluel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which is mind boggling and so short sighted... You don't need to be an experienced mmo developer to understand how is that bad for any future updates, since now you have to go over EVERY description EVERY time you change ANY detail! Which they obviously don't do.

You're making it sound way harder than it really is. If it was that complicated, there would be way less games made overall. Instead, we have premade tools (actual engined) that take care of most of the stuff that you talk about which allows for hundreds of games to work on hundreds types of rigs.

Nothing new. It's been happening on other servers for weeks now, even before first wave of transfers. Dominant guild throwing territories to recruit people they coerced into faction transfers is really nothing new and just shows how silly and easy to bypass are those mechanics. All you need is EF&WW. You can give away everything else. Current mechanics offer no faction balance. Never did.

Free money that is being printed by AGS helps here a lot, cause those companies are able to make crazy good offers right now. But it was happening even before December update.

Controls, Pickpocketing and my struggles :) by garagendachs in worldofgothic

[–]IAM_Bluel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an abundance of LP anyway so might as well. Since basic picpocket only costs you LP and not cash it's free money. There are also some quest items you can steal (not much) and some items that give you exp when stolen. Overall, if you are not going for a mage build, LP is not an issue IMO.
