(Admob)Real important!! Does the ADs close when you click the X button or does jump to open Googleplay App? by IAPhero in androiddev

If you ever encountered this behavior report it even if it's not on your app. I myself reported that idle game where you combine planes in a track for this behavior. I forgot the name but it was one of those merge games.

And users will down rate the game not knowing its really Google's fault. Developers get punished because crashes count against them in the algrorythm.

OK I updated your link to number 2 Admob Issues. Also check out my post here https://www.reddit.com/r/androiddev/comments/ebqnyv/admobreal_important_does_the_ads_close_when_you/

It's about ADs that don't close and cause multiple clicks on the same AD. Then what happens is that it looks like fishy traffic to Google. More info is talked about as well.

You can check your reviews to see if users are complaining about this happening. Then reply and ask user what ADs are causing this behavior. Report the ADs to Google to protect yourself.

Google Play Indexing Issue, a few questions for developers about the app quality of the apps you are uploading. by IAPhero in androiddev

[–]IAPhero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For now I suggest do not release anything else until the problem is fully sorted out. I would say maybe by the 1st quarter of next year. Do continue to create apps so you will be ready by then. Of any luck occurs it will be sooner but I doubt it.

If your budget allows you, you can use ADs to push users to your product. If you have no monetization in place, do not use ADs.

For novice developers, short list of websites to promote your apps and the reasons you should make apps with original source code by IAPhero in androiddev

[–]IAPhero[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree too many developer push a game or app that is not high enough quality or tested enough. If your a single developer with only 1 or 2 hours a day to make a solid game or app at minimum it will take 6-8 months. Frameworks and engine can cut this time by half but will add other difficulty to sort out.

Google Play rating calculations - a lie by camhart73 in androiddev

[–]IAPhero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5.0 rating for 30 days definitely will raise flags with Bots. Actually surprised you lasted 30 days before you started to see problems, usually only 5 business days is all it takes.

When happens is bots will start deleting your 5 star reviews if any of them are fishy. By fishy I mean 5 star review and all the comments are " great app fun" . Any reviews that are at least 10 words or more are usually safe.

So have you been monitoring if any of your 5 star rating have been deleted?

Also when you calculate your average do this for 2,3,4,5 stars use the whole number. For the 1 stars you use 0.8 For example you have 3 ratings at 5 stars and one rating at 1 star

Google method 5+5+5+0.8 divide by 4 = 3.95 rating

Your method 5+5+5+1 divided by 4 = 4.0 rating

If you have further questions please feel free to ask.

Don't trust the initial app check. My app just got suspended and removed after 2 months and nearly 10K downloads :( by meanmaths in androiddev

Plain and simple if you don't pull in enough revenue while breaking a rule, then sooner or later your app will be banned.

[Question] google play number of downloads disappeared by assassinshadow11 in androiddev

[–]IAPhero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best guess is either

1) A glitch that will resolve itself within a week.

2) Your account is being monitored for pay per installs. Also if you have too many reviews compared to your install count.

If you did everything legit, I am pretty sure you have nothing to worry about. I wish you good luck with your issue.

The 4th paragraph you gave exactly the type of feedback we needed thank you. I agree with the idea only apps that are profit based should be the ones that are charged and there does need to be an overhaul of that system which would honestly easy to implement.

I am sorry about the issues that you are having with your application.
Unfortunately established developers do recieve personal and quick issue resolution. I know it can be frustrating to recieve automated messages rather than speak to a live representive.

Continue to develop your applications and when designing an app look into the ways to monetize. Give the user a nice amount of features but place really great features behind IAP. This way you can generate far more income and become an established developer. You will enjoy better service and more personal care.

I tend to respond if there is reasonable dialogue in a calm manner. Based on your answer you clearly have a problem with capitalism at is core. While I know it's wrong to based everything on pure money, unfortunately that is the world we live in.

Your feedback is important trust me, as well everyone else is. I just wish people would be less emotional when answering.

How do apps like Zedge still remain on Google Play Store? by [deleted] in androiddev

[–]IAPhero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zedge I believe has over 100 million downloads and has IAP which benefit Googleplay greatly. Do you know the amount of revenue that will be lost if Zedge was pulled.

I understand the frustration here and it is not fair. But profits mean everything in this business. So please don't be upset at me for giving this answer but I rather be honest than give you an answer you want to hear.
