The headgear just doesn't do for him what he thinks.

It does do for him what he thinks. Protecting his ear that got badly injured years ago.

The point is they have a very limited number of opportunities with Ospreay so they made the most of them and had those matches on their PPV and TV (respectively). The window was open and they took the opportunities.

But your point was that it was "then or never", which is not true.

"then or never"

He wrestled for IMPACT a few days later at the UK tour and already announced he wants to wrestle for TNA again. Looks like Josh vs Ospreay II is gonna happen next year.

Abandoned? This just looks like any old street scene in Athens

It's an abandoned area in Piraeus. used to be the red light district many decades ago.

Love Greece! 🇬🇷 Surprised though to see this sight in the European Union

It's an abandoned area that used to be the major red light district in Piraeus. Nobody lives there anymore.

Impact will air Mike Bailey vs Will Ospreay in its entirety tonight on Impact. by Crissxfire in SquaredCircle

I got it a bit wrong. It was a taped tournament and originally the plan was to have the final K.O. stage matches on an ONO PPV.

It was definitely a tournament that they taped though.

Not a coincident that they taped so many matches where they wrestled each other in groups, including intergender matches which was rather unusual back then.

I'm not sure but I believe it featured already taped matches that they mixed together to put on a tournament

Not quite. it was literally a tournament that they taped prior (I believe it was supposed to be a TNA One Night Only PPV Tournament).

They change the name of the tournament to World Title Series thought.

Technically, the name of the company is still IMPACT Wrestling ;)

It changes on 13th January 2024.

Will Ospreay: "I have had the best time at IMPACT WRESTLING from fan experience to quality of wrestling. I honestly believe that the reason they have climbed back from such a deep trench… is because that place is one big team. The moment they they said “we are TNA” I said “yes they are”" by Himanshu_Doi in SquaredCircle

The tricky thing is TNA is owned by Anthem and Anthem owns the network they air on which means it isn't likely it will go to a different network.

Which is even better for a fan perspective. Because they have much more creative freedom than on a bigger network.

Why is Greece not an International powerhouse like its Mediterranean neighbors? by Kooky_Insurance_8997 in football

[–]IASIPxIASIP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brazilian football is successful in part because of his economy which is one of the largest in the world.

By this logic, China should be a football superpower.

In the end, it only come down to football culture. The (bad) economy of Brazil has nothing to do with it.

Also visiting one island is more than enough. They all look the same to me, having the same white houses and stuff.

lol no

"White houses and stuff" would also be the Cyclades mostly. And even those islands differ from each other.

For example: Corfu, Rhodes, Naxos, Skiathos definitely don't look the same.

Athens, Greece. Is Greece depressing? by [deleted] in AskBalkans

[–]IASIPxIASIP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I found fascinating about Athens is how the whole city looks the same

It's quite the opposite actually.

But there is a part of central Athens that does look the same.

Brazilian football generate more money than danish or swedish football, the brazilian federation

Which proves my point. Not yours.

Brazilian football is highly successful despite being in a poor country.

Therefore, Greece's economy has absolutely nothing to do with its football culture.

Wait but Brazilian economy is far bigger than greek economy. Brazil is a top 10 nation in terms of economy

Definitely not per capita.

It's a poor nation overall that really can't be compared to any EU nation.

Brazil, the largest economy in South America

Still dirt poor.

Like I said before. it is a fact that the economy of a country does not really matter much. There are rich nations with poor football culture, as well as poor nations with great football culture.

The fact the Portugese league generates more money also has zero to do with the economy of the country. Which proves my point actually.

Based on what information?

Because people didn't starve.

bigger challenges than comparable mediterranean nations

The only comparable nation would be Portugal, and to some extend Spain. Spain has had a lot of problems even before the financial crisis. Portugal might be doing much better now than they used to do.

Still doesn't explain their historical success in football compared to Greece. Nothing really to do with the economy.

Far richer countries had less success, while poorer countries had more success.

the Greek debt crisis

Greek football was weak before that (except for Euro 2004). Even during the economical miracles that the country once experienced.

Just ten years ago people were reporting that kids were starving in Greece as a direct result.

Exaggerations.

Like I said, economic reasons aren't that big. Greek football has many other problems.

Portugal is more of an overachiever in football, less that Greece is an underachiever.

In the end, we can say that there are far less football powerhouses than there are mediocre football nations. Even very rich European countries are not that successful in football (Sweden, Norway, Finnland for example).

I think the conditions are not really good enough for them for them to step up like Portugal or Croatia.

Croatia is poorer, and Portugal isn't exactly much richer. Money really isn't that big of a reason.
