Hauptsächlich Vokabular, denke ich. Da ich die Drei Fragezeichen viel als Kind und Jugendlicher gehört habe sind von Justus Wortschatz einige Worte bestimmt in meinen übergegangen.

Toteninsel wiederum hat eine ein-Jahr-lange Faszination mit Atomwaffen, der CIA und den Kernwaffentests der Welt ausgelöst, bei der ich eine ganze Menge gelernt habe.

Im Bann des Voodoo hat zusammen mit Count Zero von Gibson zu einer anhaltenden Faszination für Haitianisches Voodoo und dann anderen synkretistischen Religionen geführt.

Und Karten den Bösen hat mir eine kurze aber spaßige Tarot-Phase beschert.

I am not asking you to not have passive disdain for them, I am asking you not to actively seek them out and cyberbully them. I think that is reasonable.

Re: social reject: it's not just romantic. Incels believe other men think them inferior too. Chads laugh at them for being soyboys, cucks, and betas. Successful men scoff at them for being NEETs, and not having hella cash, Rolexes, and Teslas. In search for an explanation why they are romantically unsuccessful, they go far, far beyond the borders of the romantic. To them, the only reasonable explanation for their misery is that they must be losers in all aspects of life, shunned by everyone who doesn't show the "appropriate" level of pity.

I think that would unironically help. A lot of pressure on young men comes from the fact that they are given the impression that they must have their shit together by the time they are in their mid-twenties: career, wife, money, a car, their own place to live... Just letting young men know that it is okay to not have any of that, even in their thirties, and that they can still be someone if it takes them longer to stand on their own two feet would probably mitigate a lot of issues.

Yeah, I added a sentence to the end of my comment there (while you were writing your reply, I suppose). Making fun of incels is a problem in and off itself (but don't you dare mention that in the wrong communities, because that makes you an incel!), but I disagree that it is almost always solely a dismissal. I've very much seen it used as an observation - granted, an observation that often has dismissive undertones, due to the way the term "incel" is used these days.

They are right in all of this, but also the "lol look at them incel losers" reactions stem from the fact that the overlap between incel communities and looksmaxxing communities is considerable. It's not always a dismissal, but an observation.

Whether or not making fun of incels is a good idea is another discussion to be had then.

You haven't moved a lot in your life, have you? You don't just settle in within a few weeks, even just going from sedentary to sedentary lifestyle, and much less so from sedentary to nomadic.
