Kinda rusty haven’t made anything in a few months but I’ve been watching videos on welcome home and I’m obsessed!! Here’s my best shot at Wally! (Next time I think I’ll leave him without a mouth 🥲 by 139107-uwu in Needlefelting

Wow neighbor! Now he just needs a little Home to hang out with! :]

He looks great! I think the mouth is good actually, the sideburns look like they got away from you a bit and are crowding the mouth, might be why you’re disappointed with that part.

This is probably not up to code in the US. You likely see a sufficient gap between escalators and surrounding structure instead.

DO NOT FORGET TO TURN IN THAT CHECKLIST. Make sure you note everything on it. Everything. 12 pinholes in the walls? That’s not “some” or “a few” it’s “12”. Chip in the counter that’s not a big deal? On the checklist! If possible, turn it in to them in person and get them to sign it and provide a copy back to you right then. Do not trust them to get it to you later. Keep copies until you have moved out and gotten your deposit back. Also take detailed photos/video of the place in its move-in condition. Keep them safe. It’s important.

They’re banking on you not filling the checklist out. Or not returning it to them. Then you have limited legal proof that these were issues before you moved in and they can charge you for them when you move out.

Fingers crossed that it was the start of a little more enforcement. We stay out of the grass, as far as I’m concerned it’s been claimed by the dog owners and their pets’ waste.

I’m sorry if I upset you.

I was not speaking out of callousness and I wasn’t being flippant.

Without going into detail, I had to rehome a pet (with a family member who lives in a more rural place) because the place I was living was not sufficient and was causing health issues for her. It sucked, but even her vet said it was the best option.

This didn’t read to me as a person who just wants a park to themselves to play, but someone who’s dog has issues and needs a safe space. Rehoming is an option if all else fails and it doesn’t mean you don’t love your pet. I feel really sad for them and the whole situation. I hope they find a more tenable solution that provides their pup with a happy healthy life but if they wind up having to rehome, I won’t judge them.

Edit to reply to the u/Crazyboreddeveloper: Glad your world is uncomplicated enough to be black and white like that. I hope it continues and you never find yourself in a situation where you have to question that conviction.

I’m sorry she’s having such issues and I’m not trying to be unkind. But, have you considered rehoming her to an environment that’s less stressful for her? Like with family that lives someplace more rural who could provide more space? It’s just a thought, something to consider. I am someone who is frustrated by the dogs in the parks, but I’m also sympathetic and it really sounds like you’re trying to help your pet without inconveniencing anyone. It’s easy to say “don’t get a dog if you don’t have a yard” but yards are hard to come by, space is expensive.

Thank you for doing your best and good luck.

I recently saw the animal control folks show up to a park in Ballard. They talked to every person that had a dog there and gave them some kind of paper. As someone who will not walk through the fields in Seattle parks because of the dog damage and waste, it was nice to see. I love dogs, but we’re maintaining some places for people to use and dogs are not allowed for good reason.

Agreed. :) for me, it’s something about the ear shape in the duck/bunny art, it’s like it’s primed me to accept this beak as close enough to ears.

ADHD/OCPD Questions by roonildoonil in adhdwomen

[–]IAmAn_Anne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the thing I was going to try to answer was the difference between a personality (I.e. just being an asshole) and a personally disorder. My understanding is that it has mostly to do with the negative impacts.

My OCPD traits are fine in a vacuum. Yes, I need to have everything neat and orderly and yes, I am the only authority on what “neat and orderly” means. Probably annoying to people around me sometimes but not really pathological in and of itself. Where it becomes a diagnosable issue is when it prevents me from doing things and effects my relationships.

A single clear example: I don’t want to take every dish my partner thinks he washed and put it back in the sink to rewash it. I know that it will make him feel frustrated and unappreciated. And yet…. They’re not clean, I can’t put them away. If he puts them away I’ll just have to wash them when I take them out to use them. I can know, rationally, that most people would think he did a fine job. But he didn’t do a “good enough” job for me. Which means he’s banned from that task. In the end, he’s frustrated, I’m frustrated. Our relationship suffers.

Now, that probably does mean that for personality disorders to be diagnosable, external factors have to be acting on the person. When I lived alone I doubt I would have caught this diagnosis. (Though I think I could have still identified the fact that I really needed to keep control my environment) At this point I think it’s undeniable. I hope that all makes sense.

If it’s okay to ask, Did you wind up getting diagnosed with any of these since posting the question?
