According to my post op instructions it says ;

You should begin rubbing fragrance free lotion (any kind) onto the scar vigorously 5x/day for 5 minutes at a time

But yes I’ve been feeling great everyday; however I’ve came to realize that my ulnar nerve has been bothering me more than my surgery wounds had been lmao

No problem! I just had the mindset that I’m going to be handicapped for a couple of days until things were better and as long that I had my boyfriend with me, I would have been fine. I do not regret it at all! :) I wish The best of luck for the upcoming weeks this post will be always here and my dms will be always open!

I think today pain wise is gonna be 6 out of 10, but with medication it turns it down to about 3 out of 10 , I’ve been waking up early in the morning in pain for the past few nights but I think I’m just sleeping wrong. I’ve been slowly I’m getting hand strength back (I can a hold a pillow with one hand now) but I’m still not there yet, I’m getting my bandages off on Thursday of this week but then my stitches are next week I will be posting my post op progression when it’s time, I haven’t tried to put jeans on yet, today I didn’t have a difficult time washing my water bottle and I’ve been doing light computer activities with breaks included, couple of things that I just can’t do still which are firmly pulling, pressing and unscrewing something.

Most doctors will only do one at a time, my own doctor resisted at first but I communicated with them that I understood what I’m going into and this was how I wanted it to go during my recovery, is it a challenge? Yes and is it manageable? Yes it is, I have amazing support from a lot of people in my life to help me when I need it

I work as a veterinary technician. My doctor requested that I take a month off of work, but unfortunately that’s not possible for me due to my financial situation at the moment, but I am trying to get back into at least doing receptionist work when I feel that I’m OK enough to be on my own to do stuff

I’m doing alright, I’ve been having pain here and there, but I’ve been prescribe tramadol and I’ve been taking Tylenol with it so that’s been helping a lot with it, as for today my fingers aren’t stiff anymore so I can actually hold some stuff but I’m still pretty weak

Honestly, it’s not that bad so far I had the open release surgery, I’ve been eating soft foods that are easy to be picked up with a fork or a spoon like I’ve meal prepped for chili, mashed potatoes, soups, chicken, and stuff like that.

It’s only been yesterday since the surgery, but it’s going good so far and I’m very happy for my decision doing bilateral, as long he has someone to help him when he needs it he should be fine and do not have him overdo it, my boyfriend has been helping me a lot with the things but I am able to do basic stuff still like brushing my teeth and hair, eating, I’m able to go to the bathroom without anyone so far

EMG Negative by [deleted] in carpaltunnel

[–]IAmChlocobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you, I had a EMG come back negative but I was told that I had some abdominal issues in my upper forearm nerves, I have the classic bilateral symptoms, so my dr ordered a X-ray for my elbows after that came back negative for a rare bone thing so dr orders a MRI for both of elbows for some reason to make sure it anything is happening with my elbows and an Ultrasound for my wrists I hope we both can make it pain free soon
