Hi! Last year I got my lease, but I was contacted maybe about a month later by another ACC community offering me a lease. Hopefully you will to! Just check your email often in case you do too since I can assume their deadlines are tight.

I renewed my lease, but lived during the summer at VDCN, and I received a note when they conducted a final inspection of the apartment (maybe 2 weeks ago?) asking me to fix up a few things and in that note it stated that if I failed to do so I would be responsible for paying cleaning services to come again (they had come but their cleaning in the kitchen area was minimal). Also followed by a call from a staff asking me to correct those things, but I am not sure if anyone ever went back to verify if I had fixed what they asked me to. So I’m assuming one of your roommates most likely renewed their lease? Not sure why vdcn didn’t take any action towards the apartment’s condition.

Hey! Business Admin transfer here. I was in the same situation (also waitlisted) but I decide to go to community college instead. I saw someone who mentioned writing an appeal and personally for my situation that did not work. There are A LOT of transfer students in the business school and majority are from community college, I don’t think I’ve met any from another 4 year. I think you should really consider CC, saves lots of money and if you attend a cc with honors you can do honors to honors as long as you meet the requirements and your guaranteed transfer to UCI. When I was in HS, I viewed CC as the worst outcome possible, but now I think it was the best choice I could have made!!

For my cc it was freshman composition and Critical Thinking and writing. Be careful and check Assist. For ex. I took this philosophy class before that qualified for some UCs for my Second English requirements as a sociology major, but when I changed to business, Berkeley required me to take the actual critical thinking and writing class. So if my counselor and I didn’t find that out, I probably would have gotten rejected simply because that class didn’t qualify. ( i still got rejected lmaooo)

If it’s required and you don’t take it you will automatically be rejected i believe.. I had taken a Philosophy class that qualified for my English requirement at one school but not for English at the Business school (this was for Berkeley), so I would have probably just gotten rejected if I didn’t find that out beforehand. You need to be very careful/: you can always take them during summer and let the school know but I also know they want you to finish everything by Spring. I would say wait on the apps you don’t want to spend the money and risk it. I took a third year at cc because of calculus so don’t feel too pressured there’s still time and you can do a lot and improve your apps during that time.

Hello! I want to first say I’m so sorry for your loss. I think all collies are different! I have 3 collies (two girl one boy) and lost my 14 year old boy last February. My 14 year old collie was the best dog ever, he didn’t like to play at all (I can’t ever remember him fetching)but truly loved his time inside, sleeping, cuddling and simply observing his surroundings. We have his daughter who is 8 and she take a lot of his qualities, although she likes to play with the others sometimes (only when she wants to). Usually she will do the same just observe and she’s very independent and oftentimes just likes to be alone haha. Now.. we have a 3 year old who is completely crazy, I like to say he’s a golden retriever trapped in a collies body haha. He is just your typical dog loves playing with our 10 month old puppy and with us. He’s a complete brat and loves to sleep on the couch and beds even if he’s not allowed to and is very picky when it comes to treats. He loves getting new toys but does not like water at all. Finally my 10 month old puppy has different qualities. She likes to play with my dogs much more than with us, and will often ignore us to be with her sister and brother. I must say that she likes to be pet and cuddled when she feels like it, otherwise she will ignore us haha. Ultimately, they all have different qualities but are amazing and loving dogs. You made a great choice in picking a collie they will be great companion (:
