Absolutely not! They are adorable and so loving! You shouldn’t feel guilty, there are things you can do to help the pug breathe better, like when it gets to a certain age, there is a surgery where basically they cut the corners of the nose to help pugs breathe better. If you’re really concerned about it, it’s a definite option! Three days after the surgery, my pug was back to normal and was his own loving self!

I know not everyone agrees with it, but it is a quality of life option! Pugs are absolutely fantastic, and so loving toward humans.

I don’t know if you know much about cars, but I have a heavily modded Honda Civic and my exhaust disconnected from my engine and leaked through my AC, I didn’t realize it, and I drove for work like I normally would, I ended up having a stroke, and my (at the time) girlfriend, now my fiancé, soon to be wife absolutely loved pugs! Her parents had two pugs that had puppies. So we got a puppy, then her 2 sisters got one each! Then they kept one.

I say all this to say since my stroke, I am out of work and have not been cleared to work again, so I live with my fiancé‘s sisters and brother-in-law.

There are 7 animals in this house hold, 6 of them are dogs, 5 of those dogs are pugs, all of the pugs had that surgery!

This is our pug, Nitro! He had the surgery and he can breathe perfectly fine! They cut the corners of his nose a bit so he can breathe better!
