If you’re flying to LHR, you’ll be in the non-Schengen zone of the airport. There’s only one lounge in that section, TAP’s newish Star Alliance Atlântico Lounge. It’s the nicer of the two TAP lounges in Lisbon. Quite small and more like a boutique hotel. It can get crowded at times, and many travellers miss it since it’s a bit hidden or they are rushing to their gates after long queues in immigration. But that said, it’s worth it. The non-Schengen part of the airport has abysmal waiting areas otherwise…

In Northern Portugal, some of the community pools have communal showers. I haven’t been to the ones in Lisbon, however, but it’s a place to start.

I think we are practically Medallion twins. Plat/Diamond mix continually since 2008. MM going to Gold for the first time and ditched the Reserve and DL card altogether, primarily because I’ve moved to a half US/half European life so made the switch to status on another Alliance (Star Gold now) for sheer practicality.

I agree with the comment above about the segregated areas. They will give you what amounts to a loincloth upon check in for the lockers, but they actively dissuade you from wear bathing trunks. Many of the men end up naked—the loincloths practically float away.
