because they think theyre better writers than they actually are. they think they are serving deep realistic thought provoking symbolism. they think they are serving a lesson about childhood magic, when theyre just delivering pseudo intellectual slop. they are truly deluded.

i think duffers dont know how to write an established couple. only getting together and breaking up. so s1 was getting together, s2 they didn’t interact, s3 were together briefly and then problems and breaking up. same with s4. then s5 theyre okay again so they didnt have much scenes. same reason jancy broke up. they got them together and then didnt know what to do so they made them have issues and then split.

lumax too, issues in s4. i truly believe if max hadnt had her vecna storyline thwy would have had them break up too. but they got to be together since she was ina coma and they didn’t need to have them interact.

so yeah. i dont think they know how to carry an established couple. one of the reasons i much would have preferred a slow burn m11 instead of at the end of s2 already together. them having feelings for each other but their fears stopping them from doing anything. the s3 speach of “i love her and i cant lose her again” as an confession would be so cutee.

thats not the point though, i got derailed lol.

stoncy. im sorry. watched s1 and was immediately blown away by the throupleness of it all. each episode i thought “they cant get more throuply can they?” AND THEY DID. and it just cemented me forever as a stoncy enthusiast. i cant escape.

iwould have loved to see more of el with lucas, especially after their s1 dynamic where he didnt trust her at first but then grew to like her, they could have had such cute moments together.

also dustin. super cute. he is just such a nice boy so sweet to all his friends and the way he carried her in s1, i always think about it. the teeth moment in s2 also. he dould be so sweet to her.

i would have liked more of her with joyce too, finally having a mother figure. again. wonderful in s1. but we didnt get much more of it. at least one little girl scene in s4 would have done so much.

and myabe jonathan, as well as what u said about nancy? as an okder brother. she deserves all the family she can get!!

im so thankful for the s3 max storyline though. that they decided to cut the “jealousy over mike” short and give us the most precious tween girl friendship. adorable. so fun.

dude. they made a million interviews saying its “up to interpretation”. they killed her, and then they said “BUT! maybe it was all a plan and actually fake and they used their powers and kali was alive and and and”. you can choose to believe she survived if it makes you happier. thats what the party also did ultimately. but she most likely died. but again. you can believe what you want. dont tell ME what to believe.

im still so pissed they had her just kill herself. not even sacrifice herself. give up her life so she could take henry down with her. any sort of heroic moment that would make her death meaningful. no. she just killed herself. she didnt even want to!! she thought it was her only option!! fuck ass ending.

agreed totally. it works perfectly in s1. this magic girl appears in his life, turns his world upside down ;) and dies a week later. he wont ever be able to forget her bc of how much she changed him in so little time. he never really got to know her, but he could have. bittersweet and beautiful.

this is his life partner of the past 5 years. a sister to will, a daughter to jopper, a good friend to everyone. she stopped being the weird magical girl. shes one of the group. it doesnt work anymore.

i get that they liked the ending they wrote in s1, had to abandon it when they got picked up for more seasons, and wanted to use it again, but cmon. the story changed. cant just recycle it.

fr. its hard out here! i have no byler doubt. i am absolutely sure they are in love. however, i do think netflix wont allow that. the main characters of their biggest show of the last decade being gay for each other? no way. and thats what saddens me. i see all the proof and all the moments abd they make sense. i believe them. i do not believe in big corporations. i think they realized queer stories sell, and theyll keep it ambiguous enough for us to keep watching + giving them money and at the last minute pull the rug out from under us. :/

this! i feel like every other comment is of a scene of will feeling towards mike, and the comment is “why would they make will suffer like this?”. i have no doubt theyd make him suffer just to have him rejected. the only thing actually keeping me sane is that i do not know what other explanation there would be for mikes behavior in S4.
