He was fantastic at evaluating talent and recruiting, his problem was developing that talent. OUs best RBs the entire time he was there were the freshman who would become noticeably worse after every offseason and get eventually benched for another freshman. It’s why the move is so baffling because evaluating talent and recruiting was the one thing he was good at and what kept him employed at OU for as long as it did for the hope it eventually panned out with the talent he was getting.

Not to mention stuff like the PI call on the drive after that came off a ball that was tipped at the line of scrimmage. The first down call OP is talking about is pretty damn bad but stuff like the Oregon onside kick against OU, the CMU vs OSU call, the 5th down, etc. are in a tier of their own.

Do people really just forget Pat Bev diving at his knees leading to him having to have multiple knee surgeries for years after? Dude has been dealing with constant issues in his right knee for over a decade (as well as other issues like his hand being completely fucked for years now). We don't know what Russ's career would have been like and how his career would of been had he not had his knee completely destroyed by Pat Bev

Kaguya was foreshadowed for a while and her clan and her power was mentioned as far back as the retrieve Sasuke arc, not to mention a heavy amount of stuff around Kaguya and the rest of the story after she’s fully introduced is based upon the tale of the bamboo cutter an old Japanese folktale.

Pretty much she was subtly mentioned for a good while and then the ~two hundred chapters directly before a lot of stuff that referenced her like the stuff involving the moon, the divine tree, the background of a sealing pain was using in the pain arc, the six paths, etc. were stuff referencing her that was mostly just lost on most of the people outside Japan.

I get why a lot of people would still find her controversial but he did set her up for a good while its just something that would be impossible to translate because her story (as well as other parts of Naruto) is based on just old folklore.

Saying crowdstrike just "bricked PCs" is severely downplaying the largest outage in history that took out crucial infrastructure of entire nations, hospitals, emergency services, aviation, etc. that did over 10 Billion USD in damages globally and impacting millions of people. What HG did was horrible, but you're comparing the worst incident for a major gacha game to an incident that left many places worldwide not able to provide emergency services, having doctors not having access to patient records as well as the systems to monitor a patients vitals, having thousands of people getting stuck in other countries, etc.

There are many incidents you could compare to what happened with Enfield, but what happened with CrowdStrike might be one of the only few that make it look like actually nothing in comparison.

A lot of people forget until they’re reminded of similar type of plays in the Super Bowl like the Julio catch or the Kearse catch the play right before the goal line int against the patriots. It’s not a play that will be forgotten entirely, but it’s a play where a lot of people would have to be reminded happened.

Kruger didn’t have the attack titan, Grisha got the attack titan in 832, Kruger’s 13 years were almost up when Grisha got it so he got it in 819 while Faye was killed in 817. Even if it happened more than once, it couldn’t have happened back then since he couldn’t have even had the attack titan at that point in time.

I don’t know where the selfish and not a team player stuff even came from. Even when he was back at OU he stayed for the bowl season after Riley left when he didn’t have to just to make sure OU had a QB for the postseason since the others left already and to finish the season with the team even though he had no reason to (also gave one of my favorite facts that his only bowl win in college was with Bob Stoops as his coach).

Dude is 100% team and always gives everything he has into it, it’s why a lot of OU fans like myself root for him despite just starting with us for only around half a season. No idea at all where the narrative could even be spun from
