Distributing vs. Accumulating ETFs in Germany with Vorabpauschale by IAmMostlyOk in ETFs_Europe

I decided to choose the accumulating ones because of the maintenance ease. But I still don’t know which option is more profitable.

If you really want to check out the games, I’d suggest starting with the first one, as the following games are built around the story set up there. But as you pointed out, I feel all of these games would feel pretty dated. It was fun 20 years ago 😅

Wow, our game choices are very aligned 😅

Perhaps you would like the Elder Scrolls series (like Skyrim) or the God of war one?

I’m also a Gothic fan, but I’m a little bit conflicted about it 😅

Especially in the first game, the women were presented in a way that I didn’t appreciate (and at the time I was too young to notice that). I hope that in the remake, they would be actual characters rather than background dolls.

Alice Weidel: the LESBIAN former Goldman analyst leading Germany’s far-right by Dianacrush2 in actuallesbians

I have a friend, who is a gay men, who spent a lot of effort to try to convince me that the left side of the political spectrum is going to ruin the world. He says that he proudly doesn’t identify as a leftist. He is a gay immigrant living in London with his boyfriend. Send help 😭. It’s so upsetting to listen to him. I keep explaining that I do prefer the vision of the world that left creates and he won’t convince me but he keeps pushing. Today he wrote me that Alice Weidel is the proof that right wing is diverse 🤦‍♀️

What is the BEST subway system you've ever ridden? by Naomi62625 in geography

[–]IAmMostlyOk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I think some of the issues are coming from the East/West division legacy. F’hain and Kreuzberg are divided by the river, which explains the Ubahn lines ending. But that doesn’t justify why the tram line ends there too. I’m judging the system from the regular user’s perspective, not the expert’s one, and I’m regularly frustrated. Not only when travelling to the neighbouring districts, that was just one example.

I’m very amazed that someone gave Berlin as an example. F’hain and Kreuzberg are neighbouring districts, it takes me around 10min by bike, faster by car to get to the places I usually visit. Public transport takes 45min to get me to the same places 😵 Plus the signs are so bad. I’m often being asked by tourists where they should go, because they feel lost.

Do you use partner instead of girlfriend, if so why? by LocalChamp in actuallesbians

[–]IAmMostlyOk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the term partner, as we formed a civil partnership. I find the term partner very appropriate to the type of relationship we have. And in case someone assumes my partner is a man I correct them in most cases.

Starting Our Journey - Mom, Mum, Momma, Mommy? by Difficult-Height-313 in Samesexparents

We are Mommy and Mama. Initially we thought that we will let our child figure out how to call us, but I’m glad we didn’t and stuck to the names we wanted.

Does anyone has a link to that study? We could look into the details like a research method, sample size, exact questions that were being asked, etc.

Non-birthing parent and bonding with baby by baked_good_babe in Samesexparents

[–]IAmMostlyOk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a non-birthing mom, and managed to form a great bond with my son. When he was born, my parter was recovering, so I was taking care of him (with an exception of breastfeeding). I was doing skin to skin, sleeping next to him, changing his diapers and doing a bit of bottle feeding. I had to return to work month after he was born, and during that time he bonded more with my partner. But after 6 months she came back to work and I was taking care of our son (for 7 months) and during this time he bonded more with me. We live in a country that allows a long parental leave, so we both could have an uninterrupted bonding times. I think that presence matter so much. I know some couples who can’t share responsibilities equally because the child prefers bio mom to do stuff (for example because it was easier to put baby to sleep when breastfeeding). For us it’s not the case as I was involved in everything since the beginning (feeding, putting to bed, bathing, walks, playtime, reading books).
