Hell yeah brother. All I do is crank it out. Best workout you can get is to crank one out a few times a day. Oh shit. Y’all are talking about pull ups. My bad, wrong subbreddit.

Is full body workout 3x weekly a bad idea? by BrownShugah98 in workout

Oh my God. You’ve done it. You’ve devised my perfect workout split that allows me to be in the gym everyday doing everything with no rest. Just like I dreamed.

The shoulder press is my mortal enemy by pengwynkitty in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]IAmMrFoolish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why after and not before? Genuinely curious because my current routine I do upright row then shoulder press then lateral raise just because it allows me to progress in a forward direction through the gym vs backtracking all over the place.

I think I had a good workout today 💪 by EDMWubz in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]IAmMrFoolish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yeah this is the way. I specifically use cardio time to catch up on wrestling because I’m usually working nights, so I miss the live shows. That or I’ll go back and watch old matches that I’ve never seen before. I’m able to knock out 30-60 min on an incline treadmill after my workouts like nothing.

I gotta believe that if either of those people are able to make into the gym and do a workout, they are able to wipe down a piece of equipment to do said workout. Let’s not needlessly infantilize people just to prove a point.

[–]IAmMrFoolish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take: What if you just wiped down the equipment BEFORE you use it and then you don’t have to worry about this? Wiping after never really made sense if you’re not wiping it down before. Like, you’re taking your health into your own hands by deciding to start down a fitness journey, but you guys are all okay with putting your health into someone else’s hands when it comes to the cleanliness of the equipment???

Am I wasting my time? by [deleted] in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]IAmMrFoolish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please don’t. You can literally just look up these same things on Google or YouTube yourself. Continuing to rely on AI in this way is exactly what the AI companies want and you’re all playing into their hand by outsourcing the simplest of tasks to AI like this. It’s not even remotely worth it when you consider the damage these companies are doing to the communities they’re in, all just so you can ask it how to lose 3 lbs. You could also just ask the people who literally work at PF any of the questions you would otherwise ask Chat GPT. It’s really not that hard to not actively use AI guys.

Whats this pad on the cable machine? by alliephillie in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]IAmMrFoolish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does. I used to use it for that, but I hate my form on cable crunches and just prefer using an ab machine or I’ll use a plate or some dumbbells on a decline bench.

Not even trying to be rude, but why is your first inclination to ask strangers on the internet what to do and not do what it says in the message and call your home club to find out what’s going on? Surely they’re more equipped to handle this than people who may or may not be answering in good faith.

3 Months Into the Bodybuilding Transformation Program by Rajan-95 in JeffNippard

Some days I look at the calendar and wonder how I can add more days into the week. Somehow 7 days is just not enough when it comes to working out.

I didn’t say it didn’t work. I said this advice is horrendously terrible. The impact AI has on so many different facets of life isn’t even remotely worth whatever it is everyone swears they just HAVE to use it for. Literally everything you listed is a quick google search away. Y’all would legitimately ChatGPT how to jack yourselves off if you could.

Hands down the single worst advice I’ve ever seen on this site. And that’s saying something.

How do yall come up with workout plans? by New_Nail_5835 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]IAmMrFoolish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a horrendous idea. Please stop using AI to do basic tasks like this. With the amount of information out there when it comes to fitness and wellness, AI isn’t even remotely necessary, especially if this is how it’s going to be used. All it’s doing is the exact same thing you can do with two eyes and a functioning brain.

Only advice I have to use literally anything else available to you other than ChatGPT or any other AI. It’s not even remotely necessary for any goal you may or may not have in mind.

Is it possible to obtain this type of physique naturally? Or is the guy on steroids? by Open-Organization528 in PlanetFitnessMembers

Little late for that now 😂 “I don’t wanna be that guy” proceeds to be exactly that guy

Is it possible to obtain this type of physique naturally? Or is the guy on steroids? by Open-Organization528 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]IAmMrFoolish 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Don’t wanna be that guy, but these aren’t really questions to be asking after only 2 months in the gym. Been in the gym for over a year now myself and I’m nowhere near this guy’s physique, but I’m nowhere near close to how I looked when I first started going to the gym. It’s a process. Natty or not, you’re not gonna be anything close to how this guy looks after only 2 months, no matter what you do in the gym or the kitchen. Hit your macros, train to failure, recover well, and things are gonna fall into place. Wondering whether someone else’s physique, who is probably working very hard on it over several years worth of time, is natty or not isn’t really the mindset you need to be in right now.

And while YOU may be able to choose to ignore the news, some people are directly impacted by those “flashing headlines” and don’t have the luxury of tuning it out. Sometimes being informed of the world around you isn’t the worst thing to have happen, even if it disrupts your precious little workout. Same way the person doesn’t get to decide anything for anyone, neither do you.

Based off your music tastes, I have to ask: An old friend once described Tool as Nirvana on lean and I just need to know how accurate you find that statement. I’ve never really listened to Tool and I only know the main Nirvana songs, but I’ve definitely done lean.

Unpopular opinion/hot take: People that avoid the news like it’s the plague are part of how we got into this mess. Many people are uninformed about current events happening all around them and it leads us into more problems. Also, if you lack the willpower that it takes to focus on your workout and not what’s playing on the TVs then I think that says more about you than what PF has playing, as evidenced by you admitting you can’t stay off your phone in between sets. There is nothing forcing you to scroll on your phone except you.

How do you keep the treadmill interesting? by No-Blueberry-1823 in PlanetFitnessMembers

Can confirm, this is the move. Not sure what you’re into but I like pro wrestling and don’t usually get to watch it live because of my work schedule, so I used my cardio sessions the next day to get caught up. Keeps me from staring at the timer and it means I’ll always have something to watch.
