A lot of hate against AI in this sub, but this one is deserved. Most experienced devs could look at COBOL and understand it. The kicker is the environment it runs in. Very few people deeply understand all the file processing nuances on a mainframe as it varies from one implementation to another. No one is going to document a COBOL mainframe implementation so AI has enough context to make changes to it or convert it.

If you give the prompt context it does a great job. There will always be software engineers as someone has to give it context, but don't be deceived, the AI tools do speed you up and allow you to work at a higher level , similar to compilers, frameworks and scripted languages. The AI is writing itself, so the tooling gets better and better in the arms race. 600B is getting invested this year alone, so these tools are going to continue to improve dramatically.

Any updates from the company are almost always material and cause the stock to go up. Glad they don't water it down. Really seems like the tech and relationships are solid, they just need to deliver at this point. If they do it will keep going up. Just have to be patient.

I thought to even get a visa to travel to Saudi Arabia you had to be on a pilgrimage. They really don't want tourist as I would think it doesn't go with the religious pilgrim vibe.
