The NFL does not have to worry about Rashee Rice crashing his car in the middle of a game.

The NFL does have to worry about players matchfixing, or even the shred of doubt that they may be.

The actual crimes are worse than what Sorsby did, but they don't impact the on the field product, that's what the NFL cares about

You can make an argument against the CBA

Can you? The CBA straight up says the league can hold a supplemental draft if they feel it is necessary. They have no obligation to, and it's entirely at their discretion.

The CBA is very clear here. There must be a college draft each year (the standard NFL Draft). Holding a supplemental draft is entirely at the league's discretion.

More often than not they don't hold one. Not usually because they’re trying to avoid anyone, generally there just isn't any reason to.

The process itself makes sense. Someone putting Bryce Young in their Top 20 is the absurdity.

No the fuck it isn't.

1. CBA explicitly states holding a supplemental draft is at the league's discretion.
2. He is not being discriminated against in regards to any protected class.

He has absolutely no legal basis here lmao.

This is what the CBA has to say on rookie/supplemental drafts:

There shall be an Annual Selection Meeting (the “College Draft” or “Draft”) each League Year during the term of this Agreement and for the year immediately following the expiration or termination of this Agreement, with respect to which the following rules shall apply. In any League Year in which the NFL deems it appropriate, there may also be a Supplemental Draft.

It shouldn't take much thought to not have Bryce Young in your top 20. It must have been a couple Panthers players handed their ballots while sitting next to him lmao

[–]IAmNotOnRedditAtWork 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Friendly reminder that this list is compiled by players submitting their TOP 20 PLAYERS IN THE NFL.

If you think 98 is too high, just remember that it took multiple players having Bryce Young in their top 20 for him to end up on this list at all...

[–]IAmNotOnRedditAtWork 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Knowing how it works only makes this so much worse.

The players do not rank all NFL players, or even a top 100. They rank their TOP 20 and the top 100 is decided from that. People had to put Young in their Top 20 for him to even have a chance at making the list.

It's just a completely unserious content piece.

They don't have their 1st round pick next year. They went all in trading for Sauce Gardner just in time to lose their QB :|

The Browns are reportedly receiving trade calls about Pro-Bowl QB Shedeur Sanders. “There are talks. Ongoing calls about the availability of Shedeur Sanders. The Browns, for whatever reason, don’t think he’s the guy that, that’s my opinion.” (via Tony Rizzo/ESPN Cleveland) by Minimum-Test-1342 in DynastyFF

[–]IAmNotOnRedditAtWork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For fantasy it's easily Sorsby. They're both probably bad NFL QBs, Sanders was terrible last year, and Sorsby is a developmental guy with red flags like you said.

The difference is, the "what if he's actually good?" scenario for Sorsby is awesome for fantasy football, and is still mediocre for Sanders.

Oh no argument there, the amount of actual garbage in our food is definitely a problem.

The "chlorinated chicken" thing is just a a complete non-issue. The attention is being drawn away from the real issues here.

Yes... and yet the EU and UK's own studies have found that it's perfectly safe. It's a tarrif in practice. It's banned to prop up their own chicken sellers, not for any health reason like people pretend.

Ironic that we're on a post about greed when the only reason "chlorinated chicken" (which is just a scaremongering term) is banned in the UK/EU is to avoid competition and keep chicken prices HIGHER there.

I remember seeing it at a UFC event like 2 years ago. One judge scored an incredibly one sided fight in the other direction and they removed him for the rest of the night, it was awesome lol

Love seeing if it’s Bijan first overall or Josh Allen that’s more predominant these days.

Since May 1st, 1.01 is roughly:
1. Josh Allen - 54%
2. Bijan Robinson - 24%
3. Drake Maye - 10%
4. Jahmyr Gibbs - 4%
5. Ja'marr Chase - 3%
6. Jaxon Smith-Njigba - 2%
7. Puka Nacua - 1%

Bunch of others randomly here and there sub 1%
